ae95- wagon kid Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 I have a bit of a technical question how would i go using the early 18mm bigport 4age pistons and using the 4agze rods in a 4afe block i have done some measurements but just want to put the idea out there to see if there is anybody who would see some flaws or possible technical hurdles. Trev Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 GZE rods are 20mm, you can't use early pistons on them, you will have to also measure the crank to see if it is a 40 or 42 bigend unless someone else knows. Quote

Trev Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) thanks trev i will measure up and find out when i have time. is the 4afe crank 40 or 42 That is what I am referring to, the GZE will be 42mm. Did a search on the 4af and there is a post saying that they are 18mm but I would have thought they were 20/42 being a later engine. Edit: Just found this via google: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/24959-4afe-engine-mods/page__view__findpost__p__287957 4afe = 18/40 Edited February 20, 2011 by Trev Quote
