AE92-4AFC Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 I have the AE92 CS Seca with the 4AFC engine, I want to do a basic stock to street Carby conversion but I would like a turbo ready carby so i can run a low boost probs 4-6 lb. I don't want to do a 4AGE conversion at all i just wanted to change the Carby over. Which brings me to my question. What 2 Barrell carby could i use i don't want to spend a million dollars but i do want a fairly decent 1. I figure ill be spending around the $500-$600 mark. Has anyone done this yet? Webber/Holley with massive K&N Filter on top. Quote
GJM85 Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 It wouldn't be an easy excercise and the gain would be hardly worth the effort. No one makes adapter plates for the manifold and there is a lot of pollution gear which you'd need to remove. The 4a-fc doesn't like it very much when you pull its pollution gear off. The ideal twin barrel would be a 32/36 webber or a 180 holley. You'd need to have it rejetted. What you should do is remove the head, have the cams done, extractors, big port work, get a custom intake manifold made to run a set of 40mm down draft webbers with 90 degree ram tubes sticking out of a wrx bonnet scoop. I think that may blow your budget though.... Quote
Twinky Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 And then with half the money you could have bought a 4AGE! Seriously you could pick one up for less than a grand and have more power than a 5 psi 4AFC. Quote
AE92-4AFC Posted July 27, 2011 Author Report Posted July 27, 2011 Yeah alright I'll look into it Quote
