I am building a Lotus 7 type Locost from scratch. My engine is an 88 red/black head 1.6L.4AG-E from a GT-S Corolla Sport Coupe. I ran into your site from a link sent me by a Locost member I need to learn how to upload pix here I guess. Anyhow, my circuit open relay is identical to the one in this link

http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Circuit_Opening_Relay_Wiring

My problem is reading from top left to right and bottom left to right, black/white,heavy black /red,HUGE(10ga?) white, small black/red, smaller green /red (there is no spade on rly here) and black/orange. My relay is the same as in the link. Anyone have a clue of where anything goes? The socket makes sense, the relay doesn't but is right. The way I have it figured, the coil is grounded by the AFM (somehow I didn't get one with the engine, but got one cornered for $40 and now have to make room for it.) Any help greatly appreciated. If you go here, you can download the USDM electrical diagram book, Europe & ROW electrical diagram book, and the engine diagnosis book which includes breakdowns of the various wiring systems. Not sure if the last one includes the AFM cars, but see how you get on.

All of these cover the AE86 in SR5 and GTS models

thanks for the downloads. Looks like all the rest though, and not like mine. I am just going to just have to wire by function of the relay parts. Keith (Village Idiot) Williams (Trackfodder)
