Rolla__Boy Posted December 8, 2005 Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 The KE55 box wont bolt straight into the KE70 unfortunately. You need to find a KE70 5 speed extension housing. Or modify crossmembers and cut a new hole in the floor. I have a KE70 5Speed We can swap extension housings if you want. Since I want mine to bolt into a KE30 and you want one for the KE70. gtnickk Posted December 25, 2005 Report Share Posted December 25, 2005 Hey wait don't knock the ke70's it was produced in the 80's and does not have the rounded styling of the ke55. In fact if you wont to get pandantic the ke55 was like a halfway point between the ke30 and ke70. In a sense the engine and mechanicals are rather the same. The only difference is the stlying. I think ke70 are the bomb followed by ke30's 20's 10's, 55's are at the bottom of the list but that is because i don't think there was anything special about them.
