Jinxd Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Hey guys got a problem hope someone can shed some light. Car AE71 wagon 4AC, T50 all standard engine wise Problem: switched the motor out and when reconnecting the alternator i accidentally caused a dead short between the main connection on the back of the alternator and the part of the loom that goes to the voltage regulator. It burnt out a cable which i have since replaced now the car wont kick over the only things that work are headlights and the only interior light that works is the charge light on the dash. Ive checked all the fuse's and they aren't blown and there is power on the positive side of the coil. Any ideas of where to check/ what am i missing here? Thanks in advance! Ash Quote
altezzaclub Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 I'm not familiar with the 4AC, but are there fusible links in there that you haven't checked? I think you will end up with a multimeter checking the whole motor circuit. this is 4K... Quote
