TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Hi all Stuart here Thomas dad , I was ratting parts of our donor car today and noticed it had a factory fitted double front transverse spring and was just wondering if this is standard on the ke10 as Thomas ke11 only had a single leaf or is it possible it may be a Bill Buckle special modification?????. I have removed it from the car, i will get Thomas to put pictures up when he gets home. Thanks Stuart. Quote
philbey Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 I'm certain mine is a double leaf as well, might just be a model year change. Mine is a 69. Quote
warrenfromtonny Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 my 1970 ke11 is a double. could have removed one it in attempt to lower the car??? the Buckle cars had 1.5" lowering blocks in front and back from memory. Quote
philbey Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I don't quite understand how you can use a lowering block in the KE10 front end. The leaf is mounted inside the X-member. Quote
Des Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I don't quite understand how you can use a lowering block in the KE10 front end. The leaf is mounted inside the X-member. I'm thinking the same. Mine is a double, 1970 ke11. Quote
KEI069 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I'm thinking the same. Mine is a double, 1970 ke11. The block goes on top of the leaf pack inside the crossmember which flattens the leaf, hence lowering the front end Quote
