carbonboy Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) Howdy all, I'm currently in the process of moving house & with that, moving a car that is not under its own power. I did have an arrangement with a tow truck operator mate, but this has fallen through, hence the late notice. :( I know I can go & rent one...I'll be honest here, I'm borderline broke & even the relatively low cost of trailer hire makes things...difficult. What I'm asking is that if anyone has/knows of a trailer that I can use to move an AE82 about 10kms in exchange for cash/beverage of choice, I'll throw in an 'I owe you a BIG favour' as well! I'm based out in the western suburbs, can travel! If you can help, please reply here, PM me or my number's XXXX XXX XXX. :y: Cheers, Luke. Edited November 15, 2011 by carbonboy Quote
78_7kRolla Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Fark, If the car was complete I could use RACV totalcare for you :( Sorry bud, maybe try TCCAV though? Quote
carbonboy Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) Thanks Matt! :) If I cable tied some headlights & a grille on, it's complete but not sure if RACV would fall for it. Has a dead fuel pump & hasnt been started in.....18months or so. Shot off an email to TCCAV, fingers crossed! :D Edited November 10, 2011 by carbonboy Quote

carbonboy Posted November 11, 2011 Author Report Posted November 11, 2011 Get a mate and a tow rope and go for gold! Believe me, the thought's crossed my mind... Unfortunately there's a little voice in the back of my head screaming "saftey & legalities!" The brakes on my Twin Cam would be...umm...questionable with no power assistance (nevermind 18 months of non-use) & knowing my luck, I wouldn't get out of my street without seeing blue & red lights. :( Quote
carbonboy Posted November 12, 2011 Author Report Posted November 12, 2011 Well, I'm not usually a religious guy, but someone up there likes me today! I don't know if he's on this forum or not (so I won't mention his name out of privacy), but a MASSIVE thankyou goes to a certain TCCAV member who not only came to my rescue with a trailer. tow vehicle & chains, but also helped me push the damn thing on & off the trailer as my mate (read: labour force) had been dragged off to the sister-in-laws house! She's at her new home! P.S - Car Clubs FTMFW!!! :y: Quote
