hi all, i have an ae82 with a 4a engine. the 5sp gearbox is stuffed, so wondering if other year/engine models will fit. there are a few for sale on ebay for diferent models, and they look almost identical

Yes but a c50 is by far the easiest box to get, where are you located?

birkdale. picked one up, but realised later it has a second starter motor bulge in the bellhousing. still fits but interferes with cooling plumbing. it works but bites going up from 4th to 5th, so will probably look for another one

other than the starter motor position, they do look all same across the fwd corolla range, certainly well into the nineties anyway.

Have never seen one do so yet and I have changed the coiling system on one with a 2 hump.
