Jackson Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 G'day. Got a couple of questions tonight. First off the bat I've vacumn tested my 4k before and it has been normal but some funny shit has been happening lately so today when I tested it I got about 24mmHg at idle which is above normal had a look on the net but I can not find what would cause that. I tried slowing the idle down and that moved it down to 22 but the motor is about to die. Any ideas? Secondly my motor is a bit of a mystery motor (been through two engine conversions) so far I have been through the radiator I got with it and a brand spanker. I don't know where it is coming from but I am getting little stones :blinks: blocking the tubes is this just shit off the block? Thanks for any help. Jackson Quote
altezzaclub Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 That's on a stock carb I assume... I wouldn't worry about it being higher than normal, maybe the weather was a low rpessure that day! Its almost twice what I saw when I was playing with a vac gauge on the SUs. What is the mixture like? The only downside to high vac that I can think of would be if it sucked too much fuel through at idle. Grab a nylon stocking/pantihose and pull off the top rad hose. Put it over the end of the radiator intake and fix the hose back on. Check it in a few days. My block was full of pieces of rust scale. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/42407-the-girls-ke70/ Quote
