Mitch-12 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Hey guys i have a ke70 race car with polycarb side windows, anyway i took the front screen out to put the cage in and i cracked it. So ive decided to go with polycarb mainly for weight but it gets scratched easily so does anyonw know anything about windscreen tearoffs? and also what a normal price for 1200mm x 2400mm x 4.5mm or 6mm sheet of scratch resistant polycard worth??? Redwarf Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 I'm not entirely sure it's legal for motorsport purposes. Quote
altezzaclub Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 ..and it may be difficult to curve. Actually, I would assume it won't be legal as manufacturers make the windscreen a stressed member of the shell. Once you break it out the roof and pillars get very floppy. We had a polycarb rear window and fixed the roof to the cage to hold it in place. Quote
