Hey guys,

 

Ive been looking for a diff or diff centre to replace the welded one in my ke 20.

 

I can't find one anywhere

 

Can anyone help, If any other diff centre will fit the standard housing can someone let me know.

Or tell me where to get the info.

will pay good money for the right part.

Borg warner or Jap ?

how do i tell?

Borg warner has a plate on the rear of the diff centre that you unbolt. Jap has bolts on the tailshaft side of the diff that bolts the centre and carrier as one unit.

Borg Warner diffs have visible bolts surrounding and holding a plate of some sort to the back of the diff housing (maybe search on google if uou don't know what i mean). So check from the rear of fhe car. Jap diffs are just all one unit, and you will onlysee the oil plug/bolt.

 

And if I'm also correct a japanese diff centre from say a ke30 will fit into the diff centre of yours, if its jap.

Definatly jap then...

I think its what they call a 'banjo' centre, could be totally wrong, anyway the diff centre unbolts from the front.

 

Not sure if there is another model that will fit in its place, I'm not having alot of luck tracking down ke20 parts

Just got hold of one...

 

After weeks of searching, a very helpful wrecker down the road tracked one down.

 

For future reference, they use the same diff centres in the 83-86 Toyota Tercel 4wd (for those that didnt know)
