ok so i am learning how to do rust repairs.

 

got a $200 ke20 that someone else started repairing and stopped. I have started welding in new material, but have hit a problem. I don't know what it used to look like as i wasnt the one who cut out the rusted sections. The part i am after is the sill at the front of the door and where it meets the 'frame?' heading up to the windscreen.

 

I am using the original bootlid for steel as it had some prang damage and bad rust along the bottom edge. Then i'll find another bootlid for it.. and at the end.. it will still be ALL TOYOTA ;)

 

I'll attempt to post some pics of what i mean.

PM a couple of guys who have KE20s in the build forum on here or whip down to your local wreckers and see if there is one there.
