Come on buddy, all mechanics pretty much get the same wage unless they own the shop or build race engines. I suppose that the oil change princesses etc deserve minimum wage, though the mechanics I've been speaking of were fitters and reconditioners. That is a demanding job, and I feel a reasonably skilled job as well. Remember, everyone relies on mechanics; where would we be without our precious automobiles....
