Mustard Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Hey all just wondering if anyone can help me with my pickle? Was wondering if anyone had any supercharge mounts or now of where i can get some from or best things to use etc etc? Quote
Twinky Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Metal is usually a good thing to use. Wood would probably catch on fire... But in all seriousness.... You are going to have to custom make them. You need to answer two questions firstly: 1: What engine? 2: What supercharger? Quote
Mustard Posted March 20, 2012 Author Report Posted March 20, 2012 Haha what dam was gonna use wood haha But na yea ive got a 4k and its a sc14 lol Gonna be easy or? Quote
Twinky Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Easy If you have metalworking knowledge. Hard if you do not, or just expensive. You have to find suitable bracing points on the engine, preferably 3 points. Another thing you may be able to modify an air conditioning bracket to mount the supercharger but I think that's a long shot. You are going to need a heavy duty drill/ drill press, cut off saw, angle grinder and/or a welder. Quote
ke70dave Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 big job even with the right tools...... i don't think this is something we can instruct you on. more a case of, go and buy some steel, an angle grinder, a big hammer, a drill and a few beers. take it all out to your engine, and stare at it untill a good idea pops into your head on how you are going to mount it. Oh, and google it. here is some info, sc12, but same concept. http://www.kp61.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4367 and alot of photos. http://www.romut-radalle.com/viewgal.php?gid=248〈=en found that on my second search in google. Twinky Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I had it easy because I had a spare engine to use as a template on an engine stand. Quote
