spln12 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks man  Yeh pretty annoyed about that, ill convert it to 5 speed when its registerd.. What gear box's fit in these? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) T40 or T50, its a big(ish) job. Gear box, clutch master, pedal box etc etc. EDIT: W boxes will fit but you will need the right bell housing and it'd be overkill Edited April 1, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
spln12 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 Sweet, should be arlight to do.. Thanks for that mate Quote
Willis Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 . EDIT: W boxes will fit but you will need the right bell housing and it'd be overkill Nothing wrong with overkill, Reed. Playing it safe never hurt. :P W series boxes are easier to find than T50's in good condition. From my experience anyway. My last T50 took me a fair while to find, my W series took one phone call. I couldn't find any T50's semi locally this time around (or any other conversion gear) so W series it is. Overkill? Yes. Absolutely necessary? No. Relatively easy and makes for a way quicker process? Yes (for me anyway) :D Quote
Ben-89 Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 That looks neat, I remember seeing the other thread where you had it sitting under a tree. Definite improvement, so are you retianing the original plates? Even though the rego has been out for so long time it should still be okay to re register with that combination. It may cost a few $$ more but it should be so-able.. Good to see its gone to a r.c member? Where abouts in Melbourne are you? Quote
spln12 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 Yeh ill just wait untill a T50 comes up.. I picked it up pretty cheap, It didnt run just a carby problem  Cheers ben, yeh thought id start a new one with better photos. I'm gunna keep the original plates, came with Factory venetians aswell.. Located in bayswater mate Quote
KE7T Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 HEY MATE congratulations on finding such a clean csx , original low kilometer examples like yours are VERY HARD to come by nowdays i know becouse ive been looking for some time now . Personally i would not modify it in anyway that i could never return to original. May i ask what you picked this gem up for ? Quote
spln12 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks alot man, I'm wrapped with it, gave it a quick polish still has original paint. I'm gunna leave it standard for the moment, i was so happy it had the books and paper work  The family wanted $500, but i couldn't pay that much for a car that didn't run.. so i got it for $350  Quote
spln12 Posted April 2, 2012 Author Report Posted April 2, 2012 Bit of an update! Went to the wreckers today picked up a carby and indercator lense for 50 bucks..
