3K Or 4K

Looking at specs for these motors I noticed 3 k has more power by a bees Dick.. is this true? Looking to pull out my UN-molested k from my grandma ke10 and fit another motor in it. So I can keep the original motor to restore the 10 down the track..

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to either motor? Not looking to build it to be fast. But to keep up with traffic would be good.. plus I have efi and an ecu sitting here so ill probably inject it for shits and giggles.. if anyone is giving away a decent running 3 or 4k ill be happy to accept :) also is 3k unleaded?

I wouldn't swear to that, the motors vary so much over their production run as ant-pollution stuff gets added and they vary according to which country they're sold it. I am sure that the bigger the capacity the more torque you get, that seems pretty fixed over many motors, but power depends on how many revs you can make.

 

Either would keep up with traffic in that gokart, once you have a decent carb or injectors on it. You're only pushing about 700kg aren't you?
