Living With A 4Agze..

Hey guys,

 

So I recently scored a 4agze reasonably cheap and plan to throw it my AE71.

 

I just want to hear from people that have done this conversion and could give me the heads up on what to look for and be aware of while I am doing it.

 

Also what is the supercharger like in normal driving conditions?

I have had many turbo cars in the past but never supercharged.

 

What is like on the highway? Does it stay on boost constantly when at 100kph?

Or is it only under full load it starts to create boost?

 

Any advice and stories would be greatly appreciated!!

The GZE only turns on the charger at a specific throttle percentage (not sure what it is TBH), the mr2 I had only seen boost when I was taking off or giving it a boot, the rest of the time it was doing it's own work.

Hey man, i have a 4agze and yes the supercharger does only kick in, i believe at a certain throttle position... But the boost is deffinately not on all the time. 4agze are really good for everyday, mine uses next to nothing fuel, eats other cars and makes doggy doo outta hills. Very strong motors, would recommend them. Just a fore warning though, the speed does creep up, so if you don't have any demerits left, would not recommend
