scottie18 Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Hey guys Can someone please tell me what is the easiest turbo'd motor to convert into a ke70 and what the conversion would involve cheers Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 There is no 'easy' option. The easiest would be turbo-ing the K motor, but you'll need to do a bit of fab work or buy one someone has made. 2nd would be a 4AGE, its all bolt in pretty much, start with a 4AGZE motor and put a turbo kit on it. Sound easy but its a hell of a lot of work and will cost a fair amount. Quote
scottie18 Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 cheers yeh looking at putting a whole new motor in it is their a 4age motor that is already turbo'd?? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Nah, people usually use a supercharged MR2 engine as its built for boost, then you can buy 'bolt on' turbo kits. Keep in mind for this you'll need. Engine ($500), turbo kit ($1000), gearbox ($300), tailshaft ($200), diff ($300)(if you don't want to keep swapping blown stock diffs), engine x member ($200), gear box x member ($50), hydraulic pedal box ($300), clutch master ($50), clutch slave($30), radiator ($150), aftermarket ECU (might be able to use the GZE one), upgraded brakes/struts ($1000). That there is a few grand in parts alone. Prices are ballparks. None of this includes labour if you're not doing it yourself. Quote
scottie18 Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 ah k so its a fair bit of cash going into it cheers for that anyway ill have to look into it a bit more Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Cheapest option : buy one already done. Quote
