Hi everyone i would just like to say hello to everyone on the rollaclub board.

I currently own three cars and one of them is a corolla KE55 coupe.

I have done a bit of work to the engine. which is a 4K-c

Mild Cam,

Twin 40mm Dellorto carbs,

redline manifold to suit,

extractors,

2" Sports Exhaust,

Port & Polished Head.

I must say its a little pocket rocket and has chewed a few commies and falcons.

I intend to turbo it and am currently looking for a setup to suit.

If anyone can kindly point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

John

hey, I'm chris,

i have a ke70 with a 4k-c and ive looked into both turboing or supercharging and supercharging i think is better and cheaper. i was advised by performances places ie. widowmaker to do this, using a supercharger from a new commodore, as you can pick em up cheap and go great with small engines. they put one on a 1.3L suzuki sierra and when you plant it while dirving the wheels on the sierra light up! and its running 11psi constantly, they also reckon that i would run about 12-14secs, depending on the other work so you would do alright.

but if you want to turbo your going to have trouble with getting a turbo small enough. i was told anything decent wouldn't fit, including cordia and exa factory turbos, not to mention you will have to get the turbo sent away to be fitted with carbon seals because you aren't efi which will cost $200+.

although widowmaker told me if i do want to turbo just hunt around for one with a working water and methanol mix that way you don't have to worry about an intercooler as long as you don't want to run more that about 12 pound of boost :D

hope ive helped a little.

There're quite a few Datsun1200 (A12) turbo setups around, blowthrough I believe. Not sure what turbo they use, but my mate has just set one up, next time I speak to him I'll ask him...
