I don't know what the differance in a "DASH FITTING SURGE TANK " and a "HOSE TAIL SURGE TANK "

Thats just the type of hose fitting used. The surge tank is just that, a surge tank, but how the fuel lines hook up is the difference between the two.

 

The difference in how they connect up, I don't know. I suggest google in this instance.
