just bought myself a 5k for my ke20.

I'm stripping it down to replace rings and was just wondering if its worth installing aa double row timing chain??

Never had issues with a single row in mine, but if your rebuilding it any way it's cheap insurance...

DOubles will just last longer. You won't see any extra gains or performance, and you'll probably get 100k krs out of a single row anyway.

Hi there if you have worked the motor at all (big cam ) rollmaster do a adjustable double chain and sprockets not real expensive either around $70 / $80 and yes well worth it so you can dial your cam in properly .

the motor has a 290 degree camtech cam, 4age pistons and rods, Mikkuni ITBs from a kawasaki GPZ1100 so she aint stock!!

 

thought itd be a good idea seeing as I'm pulling it apart to inspect big end bearings and replace rings :)

hey sturart just wondering if u have a link to the double row timing kit as I'm struggling to find it ahha, also seein as the 5k doesnt come with the double row guide and tensioner are u aware of where i can get all that too?
