mc68 Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Gents. As I'm getting off my slack arse and finishing off my car, some things are holding me up. Namely for today. The wiper motor wiring on my ae86. I have completely rewired the car, so not much still applies. What has loyally got me stumped the past two day is getting the wiper motor to park, or self return. Once switching off. I have located the hi and low speed pins to the wiper motor, I was hoping the ae86 motor had an internal park switch, but it doesn't. It only has two trigger (signal) wires that go back to the original switch. Which then completes the circuit only you turn the switch off. Great for someone running a standard dash, and the ability to run an original switch.. But I was looking to run a simple on/off/on switch for my wipers. And currently with this motor. They won't park.. My question, as ke70 had the wiper switch conventionally on the steering collumn, not on the dash, do the fit an ae86 firewall, and do they have an internal park switch?? Any help is much appreciated lads. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 park switch contacts are in the wiper motor itself. you could use any aftermarket wiper switch to drive it. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 not possible to do with regular switches. find an aftermarket one on eBay. Quote
mc68 Posted July 7, 2013 Author Report Posted July 7, 2013 Went and bought one. Universal switch from a hotrod. Should look well out of place with all the carbon fibre it's mounted to :( Quote
