Mr Hardware
Hey all, I have a KE55 Sedan. I am selling it sometime between now and July (when i buy an ex-cab). I want your opinion on whether i should sell it as is, or do it up a bit and sell it registered. October 1980 KE55 Sedan 341,200klms Factory 5-speed Reconditioned 4K Very good mechanically: always starts first time. I've done 21,000 in it and it's been a dream run. Interior is good, everything works. Kill switch 4 speaker stereo with commodore head unit and tempramental 6-stack in the boot. Problems: Paintwork is mostly yellow, partly undercoat in repaired areas. Speedo reads 10k over no matter what speed. I'm not expecting much for it, but by the same token i'm not going to give her away. I already have purchased some paint for her and a good mate is a spraypainter/panelbeater and he has offered to spray the car for cheap. Should i get the car sprayed in a hope that it'll pass roadworthy? Everything on the car works fine. No rust, no damage. Do you think i should persue the fix it up and roadworthy it path or should i just flog it off as is?
Valandor
what i would do is get it ready for registering but sell it as when they pay for the car you go down and get it registed. its EAsier to sell a car with rego
