I would think the yoke would be different.

Only one way to find out really. Go to a self-serve wrecker and toy around.

I know my KE55 that i put my 4A-C in had a custom shortened tailshaft. I'll have a look at my spare rusty sedan one tomorrow and tell you if they are different or not.

nope, the shaft is not a straight bolt up, the spline is different, and I'm pretty sure the uni's are different too.

i have a KE35 with an AE71 T50 in it, and it had to have the yoke from an AE71 tailshaft welded on the end, it was also shortened a bit.

Funnily enough, if you put a 202 and holden 4 speed in a KE30, you can change the yoke on the rolla tailshaft to the holden one, and the tailshaft is the right length, and it bolts in. Yet you can't get many toyota ones to bolt in that easy...it sucks

that sounds heaps easyer, think i'll do that!! haha but its food for thought, you can buy 2 way unis to fit holden tailshaft yokes so stands to reason there would be one to fit the t50 yoke to a 30/55 shaft, if the bugger wasnt to long already
