Thought i would finally put up a post about my peanut, ive been on rolla club for 10-11 years now had a fair share of early k series, i curently have a 1973 ke20 2dr sedan and a ke38 panelvan which ill eventually get around to putting a post up as its pulsin 13bbp, i brought my ke20 on here in 2011 has a mad history of where it was originally from. When i got it it had 68,000 original miles on it, the car was found on a farm out Crows Nest QLD where it had sat for 11 years in a shed, the car was originally sold to a young lady in the RAAF in Sydney, she drove it for a few years but after passing away the car was shipped to Crows Nest, on the key chain i have the Richmond Ex Servicemans social member tag with her member number has 74-76 on it also have the richmond parking sticker on the front bar. The second day i owned it i took it to Rotary Motor Sport dyno day and threw her on to get lowest HP cranked out 52hp running not the best datsun 1600 took it out with 46hp, i went home not thinking much as i didnt win to get a phone call the next day from my mate Marek from seven of clubs saying i was the only one in the modified 4 cyclinder class so i won hahahahaha yeeeehhha even got my name in Zoom magazine on the results thought it was piss funny having only owned the car not even 24 hours, All suspension, bushes been replaced prior to myseld owning it, came on 13 inch mazda van wheels and has an original factory tacho which i have heard are rare. The original motor was replaced with a pumped lil 3k with cam and headwork of uknown specs,40mm Webers on redline manifold and billet linkage kit which i have had dramas with, Zoorst is headers straight threw to rear muffler might even put some more muff on it. I am a Qualified Automotive Refinisher (Painter) and the ke20 is currently awaiting 3 phase connection to hook right in i have a fair few photos so bare with me, Body is ridicuously straight and clean few lil bits of rust but bugger all which makes my job easier it sits in ecth as we speak, ill leave this here now and start chucking some pics up of my build cheers guys Rolla Reppin for life

i have a few colour options wanting to keep in the era so a solid colour i will be goin but i will apply it in COB ( clear over base) i paint stripped the car in order to not abraise the surface of the steel as i hadnt brought my compressor at this stage and just quickly etched it up with a small compressor all the etch will be washed or sanded off prior any repairs as i will be applying Ppg expoxy primer
