I'm flying back to NZ for my mum's 90th birthday in Rotorua. Which means landing in AKL and hiring a car for two weeks or so. (there is ALWAYS work that needs doing on the house...) Sadly Mum 's birthday is April 1st, so this year the time will cover Easter, when I'm sure nearly everyone will be out in their pride 'n joy. Anyway, I couldn't see the point of paying $40/day to some car hire place when maybe someone had a handy rolla sitting around. Anything reliable will do, Starlet, K-series, Rona...
