Guest Brad Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Hey guys, As you know I own a MS85 Crown. Anyway I need some help with my 4M in my MS85 Crown. It had been sitting around our farm for around a year as the fuel pump shit itself. Couple of months ago, I decided to go out and get it going, I went to the local wreckers and asked for a working fuel pump. So my old man and me put the fuel pump on, now he stuck it on like he normally does with a Holden, but it doesn't seem to be getting fuel to the carbie, so is there any different way to put them in? Also, we took the fuel pump to 2 places and they both said it was in working order. We have blown air thru the fuel lines to make sure there were no blockages, and dropped the stale fuel and poured some fresh stuff down it, still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rolla__Boy Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Is there fuel in the fuel filter? Have you tried changing the fuel filter? It could be blocked Quote
Guest Brad Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Yep done that, Tried blowing compressed air down each of the fuel lines in case of a blockage, but it seems to be all clear. Quote
love ke70 Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 these are the cam driven fuel pumps right? is the cam turning properly and driving it? is the pickup in the fuel tank actually in fuel/picking up fuel. maybe take a jerry can, wack the fuel lines off the pump into that and make sure its lifting fuel. ie lift the return line out and make sure theres fuel returning. g/l Quote
