gtnickk Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 My ke70 is like that. Real Bitch to start some days Try placing a thick blanket or some old carpet on the bonnet. This helps a bit as it obsorbes the moisture in the air. A new battery couldnt go a stray either. Hope this helps Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Canberra has crazy cold mornings...and I go outside and pump the accelerator twice...and turn the key, and it winds for a few seconds then fires into life and idles....I have no choke at all...and I have a dirty old untuned 3K carby on my 5K. How many CCA is your battery Quote
thomo Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 -11 at my house monday morning rolla was a bugger to get going but a little more choke a few pumps on the throttle (can't do to many it floods) an extra long turn of the key and i was rallying my way to work! Quote
love ke70 Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 to start my POS i have to have the choke out so far it idles at 3000 it sometimes backfires up thru the carb when i try give it some throttle just after starting, I'm of the impresison this is coz the fuel pools in the manifold. by having the choke on so far it makes for more turbulent air and keeps it floating, not pooling.. i think Quote
