Just bought KE70 with 4K engine. Faces some problem and need some one to advise ???????

1)Fuel gauge going ding dong.

When car not moving & fuel is full - OK, the problem happened when the car start moving, the gauge will indicate empty fuel.

2)Body shaking at speed of 80km/h and above.

3)Fuel consumtion -300km vs 35 littre

Fuel gauge - check connections. Fuel gauge works by grounding, when gauge wire is grounded it will show full, and vice versa.

 

Body shaking check tyre balance, wheel alignment etc.

 

Fuel consumption sounds like you need a tune.

i agree as my ae71 had the same prob with fuel gauge. i clean up its earth wires and connections and it was right as rain

vibrating : also check you don't have a bent tailshaft

also very true. and check even that the tailshaft bolts havent rattled loose or the unis just mite be f*%ked. but they are easy to change. i experienced this several times with my stepmums shitbox commodore. it spit a tail uni once a month!!
