During a conversation about fish oil and other things to do with rust prevention, someone told me that there are certain types of oils that can seep through seemingly hard surfaces such as glass, if left on the surface for a while. I think this has something to do with rust preventative oils being able to get underneath the paint to where the real problem lies, but I do not think this person was talking about fish oil as such, but something more advanced?? (it may not be a car oil at all, i am not entirely sure)

 

Is this true or false??

 

I have tried to find out more about this on google but it doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone know the name or type of oils that can seep through surfaces? I suppose it has something to do with their molecular structure being very thin or something??

 

I actually am not presently needing this for my car, but rather am studying it at uni, so i really need any info anyone has on it

Ive heard emu oil will apparently weep through glass.... don't know if theres any truth to it.
