Jvc 'Please Eject'

Featured Replies

Hey fellas, Ive Had this JVC kd-g525 for 3 years years now and it has gone through 2 other cars no problem

I removed it from my previous car a couple weeks ago and it was in full working order, fully capable of playing CD/mp3 disks and all

today i installed it into my ke70, works great, except when ever I put in a disk it says "PLAY " (I'm guessing it is trying to read) then Flashes "PLEASE EJECT" and goes back to radio

I am super annoyed at this as the Mp3 disc reading is what I use 90% of the time! It doesnt even read original CD's!! and knowing it was fine when I pulled it out my other car frustrates the shit out of me!

please tell me theres an easy resolution for this problem! thanks! any help appreciated!

Have you tried resetting the unit? normally a pin button on the rear, or on the face plate. Sorted out mine many moons ago.

Check the website for a firmware update, seems to be a common issue with those decks.

If it's not going to cost you a great deal, send it to JVC to get the internals sussed out.

Ask them to quote before they repair, as they may turnaround and give you a price that will make you want to hit them.

And I have just been notified of JVC bringing out a new line of headunits, so if the price is too high, a worth investment would be to spend the bucks on a newer model.

If it was a wiring problem or something to do with the installation... the radio wouldn't play. It just wouldn't work altogether.

So, I'd be getting it assessed by JVC Australia.

My 2 cents

:D
