  1. Hey guys, I got a Daihatsu Feroza that I need to sell for financial reasons, I'm not sure if I can post a link but I need as much advertisement as I can get. http://www.carsales....ck&sort=default Car has served me well and it will be very sad to see it go. Details are all in the link Cheers.
  2. Cheers man, emailed him and he sent this back "For outside car, engine bay and boot your looking at around the $600 mark approx." Just if other people are interested in getting it down, will have an exact price after I get it done but it depends on what kinda job has to be done.
  3. did have a reply, but had to delete it
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a downlight transformer just a device that converts AC to DC and changes an input voltage of 240 to 12 volts?
  5. Ok did a circuit in a special simulator with a resistor but the figure looks incorrect, found another regulator that will do it but will wait to see if anyone else has a better idea.
  6. Hey guys, was just looking at pics of my car and have seen the massive amount of work needed to remove what was a crappy attempt at a respray. Anyway my mate who's helping/doing the body work for me says the he's been quoted $600 for a full shell sandblast (or 1200 incl. panels, but it will only be the sheel that I want done), has anyone been quoted cheaper or have any experience in this? Cheers
  7. Here's a layout of the regulator itself, will have to check if other parts are needed but the basic layout is there at the moment. Just read the Data Sheet for this regulator and it states that the input voltage must remain 2.2 volts above the output voltage. You may just get away with a resistor that will drop the voltage to the LED.....will come back with a value.
  8. Ah yeah, a car battery isn't 12volts. It's just over, and when the engine is running the voltage is at 13.8 to 14.4 which is too much for that LED. What you need is a 12V regulator or power supply....something like this would do it: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productResults.asp?keywords=mc78t12&keyform=KEYWORD&SUBMIT.x=0&SUBMIT.y=0
  9. Sounds like you need a resistor to limit the amount of current going through the LED, do you have a link to the ebay page?
  10. Hopefully updating to a KE20 for a daily.......Been out of a rolla too long!

  11. Yeah wheel looks good man, I saw a wood grain version of this wheel in some american muscle car recently and thought it would be nice in the rolla. Black looks great as well, will search around for one for my car.
  12. What is a bolt on (no modifications) upgrade brake booster for a KE35?

  13. If people are interested in doing this I might be able to make a kit that will just require headlight and power inputs....Australia wide, let me know.
  14. Could even be the solenoid on the carby on it's way out, can you start it if you pump the throttle? When my points were gone on my 35 it cranked but didn't start altogether. Take the top of the distributor off and see if the points are moving, if they're not they need replacing.
  15. Just one cable from the battery to the starter, then a cable from the alternator to the starter:
  16. When I redid the positive lead in my 35 I ran a thick cable from the alternator to the starter to the battery, when you move the battery to the boot this is the best option as you don't have to run two sets of cable. You have to have Battery Eearth to body and Body to Block as this is the only earthing point for the starter motor, I've never seen a seperate earth for the gearbox, the reverse switch uses very little current. Oh and something previously said, the starter motor and alternator work on current, the larger the current the bigger the voltage drop so use the right sized cabling otherwise this is all useless information.
  17. Same thing happen to me man, got the head rebuilt somewhere and it blew out thankfully only when I first got it running. If you don't want to get it welded up there's a guy in Adelaide that sells the one you need, I think I put him in the Recommended list.
  18. Ok this has been one hell of a journey....up and down the entire time, but this is back on track. Saw a coupe online and just remember how good it felt to drive the coupe and loved people askin about it and all that stuff...... Moving it this saturday to another mates place which is only about a 2.5 minute walk instead of a 45 minute drive. Then work on it on saturday's and also got the first week of October off so should hopefully get it all back together by then..... I am more keen than ever before to get this project done, I kinda got sidetracked by another project but I think all my daily needs to be is what it is at the moment. Here's a pic of that:
  19. Coupe rebuild back on track, sorry to those guys who wanted parts, I should have basically a whole coupe of parts and panels(minus the body) to sell at the end.

  20. 5k and all my ke35 up for sale real soon

  21. Hey guys, I need a set of wheels machined to fit a different car (VE to fit VT). Does anyone know who would do that in Adelaide and approximately what cost? Cheers
  22. ahem....got sittin in my room some oldy ke35 taillights
