  1. don't mean to take over the thread, didn't think it would be worth making a new thread, but while on the topic of center caps, does anyone have any idea on where some center caps for a set of 14" rays Supervolk's could be found? They're the large disc type ones, if there are any generic caps of this style also let me know. Word no the grape vine is that they are very hard to come by. Thanks guys!
  2. Mine does it too, It clicks but doesn't turn over. I just thrash the key on and off 'til it starts, it eventually works. I'm not bothered.
  3. Yeah, seams pretty fair, thanks pal. Yeah, your right, the S15 are 14mm, but thats not a major issue. Still wondering about the steering side of things... Can I just use RA40 tierod and RA60 tube? RA40 tierods fit in the s13 knuckles? The ke70 ones seem to fit fine, so I guess RA40's should too... Just need more length.
  4. Hey all! I've just been test fitting a bunch of parts I got for my old KE70 I got some S15 coilovers (same as s13) with AE86 camber tops fitted On S13 "JDI track spec extra lock knuckles" with nonTurbo brakes (smaller) And R31 Control arms (because they're a bit shorter then S13) I have done some searching but not finding heaps on the use of R31 arms, so, anyone thats used them, some questions; Firstly the rackend/tube/tierod como; I have read for S13 arms you'd use Bluebird TRX tierod ends and RA60 Rack ends, I suppose the TRX option is so the stub part fits in the S13 knuckle or something, right? And since the R31 arm is shorter, will this combination still be the right length? Or what about RA40 tierod and RA60 tube? What would people recomend? And I have fitted the coilovers, knuckles and arms no problem, but the swaybar link is at a retarded angle, like the hole in the r31 arm is too far in (toward car center), Others got the same problem? Just Drill another hole? I'm aware caster rod holes must be drilled, don't recall hearing about the swaybar though. I can get pictures if necessary. Any info/advice/links ect much appreciated, thanks all!

  6. Hey fellas, I have searched around various places, with no luck, My question is simply this; What steering racks bolt into ke70's, and what effects do they have (ie. length, ratios)? I ask this as I suspect my rack is a little raped, and I plan on doing the s13 front conversion, requiring rack ends anyway, and with a rooted rack would defeat the purpose. Power steering may also be consider as I have the gear with my ke's future powerplant (assuming ps simply requires a pump and lines to the rack and not much more too technical) but ps is not preferred. Or, how much to get a rebuild (in Adelaide) Some links, stories, what ever could help. Thank you all!
  7. eh, I think I just went over plastic with 600 and cleaned with wax and greese remover and sprayed away. Fair amount easier then painting the rest of the car, I can tell ya that!
  8. Well, its been bumped now.. It went nicely, looks a sh*t load better now, for <$10, I recommend this to anyone. Really, if it isn't gonna last long, $10 every 6 months really isn't a lot, but its nearly been 6 months and still looks good as ever.
  9. I have the same problem, only sometimes, never when I am anywhere I can look at it, which makes it hard, but my tail like wiring loom is f*'d so I'm fairly sure it is just that. Haven't bothered looking at it though, and my high beams don't work, but that's different, Fairly sure that's a stalk issue feel free to correct me anyone.
  10. Maximum respect. That awesome work. Thank you.
  11. http://speedhunters....e-year-wip.aspx Phil's KE70 Corolla - 4KC with DOHC head, 9,600 RPM redline, AE86 coilovers, Work wheels Someone please explain. Please. Is that a 4age head? Wheres a technical article. That's just awesome awesome if that is true.
  12. thanks for your help everyone; I was only after a cheap way, my bumpers are far from good condition so a quality job will just be a waist of time.. I think ill just get some nasty aerosol and see how it goes...
  13. Just a quick question; I have a ke70 with the old plastic bumpers being a ke70 they have faded as anyone would expect Ive seen it done on a million other ke70s and I think it is time I did it to mine. Just wondering, is there any special precautions I should take on the plastic to prevent it from flaking and being generally sh*t over time? I'm just gonna get some cheap aerosol form the shop.. Is there a special type to use? Light sand of bumper and clean with wax & grease remover and away I go, right? Thanks for any help :) and an old pic just for the hell of it, sorta shows it...
