What is this? The old KE70.com forum had become rundown and neglected. The software was old, barely functional anymore and infested with spammers. Neither Teddy or myself had the time needed to devote to reviving and rebuilding the old forums. The idea of merging the forum with Rollaclub is not a new one, however the decision to do so only came about recently. While we would have liked to migrate all of the posts and members (who aren't already members here), this currently is not realistic. I have a friend down in NSW, up Gosford way, who is in the final stages of finishing off an SR20 Nissan engine rebuild, with all the good stuff, as part of the engine makeover/upgrade. He wants to drop it into a Corolla KE70 body; but is having great difficulty, locating a reasonable KE70 body. He doesn't mind if it is just a shell, as long as it hasn't got extensive rust. Obviously, He won't be put off, if it doesn't have an engine in it, as He has His SR20, just about ready to drop in. Hi team, Currently in the process of rebuilding a wee kp for summertime skids & coffee cruising. Bought the kp and have come to realise it’s got a dished piston bottom end and what I believe to be a 5k head and have confirm this with the previous owner but it’s all “apparently”. The head has got the two knobs under each spark tube at both ends. Anyway, I’ve turfed the facto radiator and electric fan and have gone for the Fenix ke70 ally rad/fan shroud kit for maximum coolage when abusing it over the takaka hill. Question being, are the entire top & bottom thermostat housings compatible across the range of 2k-5k heads? …

Hello everyone! Cheers! I have a KE30 sedan with a 4K swapped engine + KE70 gearbox. I'm currently using the stock KE30 LongShaft and Axle, is there any difference if I were to put ke70 longshaft and axle into my ke30? And can I reuse the original brake lines from my ke30 body to the ke70 axle if I were to fit it in?

Hi guys I have a ducktail spoiler and splitter to fit my ke70. They came with the car when i bought it. Ive had them for about 10 years. Would anyone know what price I could get for them as I can't seem to find a price anywhere. Thanks alot Edit: The car also came with a sunroof to fit ke70 but the roof would have to be cut out for it, would anyone know what price I would get for the sunroof aswell?

Finally was able to mock up my Weber After installing Weber and trying to use the universal linkage was not the best for the barrel type accelerator cable so had to call up Recarb and get there throttle linkage they do for the 4K engine safe to say its working, cranked the car for a second heard how loud the headers alone were chose not to start and idle the car as it was late so will try this afternoon.

Hi I’ve been looking around everywhere for some sort of answer to a question but can’t find anything. I’m looking to weld my ae71’s diff but can’t find anything hinting towards the strength of the axles or anything related. Surely the car is light enough that just driving around won’t snap axles?

Hey Guys I am looking at touching up some areas of my car with touch up paint, question my color code next to COLOR/TRIM is "BL-TV-GP" if I take that to Super Cheap Auto would they be able to colour match that paint code. I had a look at import archive and the colour codes on their seem to be different to the one on my TOYOTA Build Plate.

Hey guys so I had a problem with me KE70, it was leaking fuel from the bottom of the mechanical fuel pump, thought the pump was at its final days, ordered a brand new GOSS Mechanical Fuel Pump, installed it on the 4K, same issue occurring fuel leaking from the same spot. Just wondering if people have had the same or similar issue and things you did to fix it, I thought it might be one of either these things, uneven insulator, did not scrape the old gasket off enough(I pretty much scraped it back to bare metal), just shitty aftermarket gaskets(they were plasticy ), the engine block is no longer flat, or just need to use permatex sealant. Hi I have an ae70 hardtop and a ke70 liftback recently acquired. I need the weatherstripping for the cars...all of it other than the front windscreen weatherstripping. 4 door weatherstrips are available here in PAkistan but none for 2 door frameless windows etc... does anyone know of a reliable source anywhere in the world.

Hi, I am looking for an intake manifold throttle body of a 7k EFI KR-42 town ace. I am from Fiji and unfortunately there is no one here in Fiji that has this exact part. I really do need someone to help me with getting this part. Hi all , I’ve recently bought an old KE70 wagon that I’m wanting to restore, I’ve noticed under the bonnet there’s a sticker saying that the car can contain asbestos, I know that older cars has asbestos in the brake pads, clutches and some seals, I’m just wondering what else contains asbestos in the car? Does the interior insulation or car underbody coating contain asbestos? any help or information would be appreciated Shane

Hi Guys n Gals Just got my L's 5 months ago and i decided to buy a ke70 wagon, came with a ca18det witch i can't but in while on my p's because i think it out puts 280kw or something the guy said (probs pulling my leg) But I;m going to take that out and put a p plate legal engine in. Where in the hell am I supposed to put my cellphone while driving? I can't install a mount anywhere. Let me know where your spots to place your phone or install a mount are. The center pocket below the screen is too deep, the cup holders are too low, and adhesive doesn't stick to the leather lining.

Normally E-series engines come with C150 transmission, and when engine is upgraded to 'A' series e.g. 4A, 5A, or 7A, the trans is also upgraded to C50 or any C5X now i have an fwd corolla with 2E (12 valve) engine,that already has C40 transmission instead of C150. Just wondering if C40 and C50 are both same with 5th gear difference like k40/K50 or completely different. if C40 can work with 4A or 5A, this will save us some cash. YM

My rear main seal went in my ke35 coupe for the first time since ive owned it, plan on replacing it asap as of course my daily has died as well just wondering what it would be worth replacing at the same time to avoid future maintainance? Clutch etc? Cheers in advance

So my KE70 will need to go in for MOT to get its documents. Having read around it seems like the lights are awful - some bulb need replacing. I tried to find more information - ideally I'd love to go to LED (even angel eyes) but I don't know if that's possible so maybe at least halogen, having done some searches on here I am confused as to .... A) where/what bulbs to buy for the rears lights and indicators B) What are my options for front light replacements/bulbs

Are Ke70 and Ae70 bushes the same the reason I'm asking is i have a Ke70 with Ae71 front end in it (4age conversion) and i want to order all new bushes

Hey guys. Have recently put in another engine and running into a few issues It starts but begins to play up and stalls. Only runs with choke on and ends up dying still within like a min . Could this be something to do with a blocked jet, timing, bad fuel, dirty fuel filter or air fuel mixture ?? Second issue I have is that my radio and clock are running as soon as you put the negative cable on the battery. Have checked the earths in the engine bay but they are bolted in. Hey, I'm fairly new to the forum picked a KE70 with a 4k a few months ago for a second car have a little fun with you know the gist. Recently its blown head gasket and turned my oil into milky sludge. It's a low K motor on the odometer (but you never know). But i'd like to rebuild it and have her sound a little better its an all original car drives nice with minimal rust, like to give her a fresh motor. Perhaps with an aggressive Cam and head work. Anybody know any engine builders they can suggest for this motor. My plans for the car are to keep it original I don't want to engine swap or be a target for defects, its just a little cruiser to occasion…

Hi team, First time post here so let me know if I’m doing this right.. basically I’m wondering if any members here are able to point me in the right direction for a tuning/carby specialist shop in the Rotorua/BOP area. Hey guys, New member and new to Toyotas. My background is old Ford Escorts and modern VWs and Skodas but want to try something different so looking at getting a KE70 . I'm keen to do a conversion but unsure which way to go, 4age 20V or 3sge beams? From what I've read on your immensely helpful threads the 20V seems like an easier conversion? That extra power from the beams would be nice though. Is the extra power from the beams worth the extra effort or would some cams and head work on a 20V be not far off the beams? Thinking of doing hillclimbs so running in the 1600 class as opposed to the 2000 class would also be advantageous. Also, does anyone on the forum do or know o…
