Hey guys, so I've got a KE30 that I'm getting going, it's been sitting for 10years. Having trouble starting, I have managed to get it running briefly. However cranking it over it seems to drain the battery really fast. I've had the battery charged full, and then also jumped it with the running Patrol. That gets about 30 seconds of crank out of it and then it's not enough power and will barely turn over the engine. Any suggestions would be lovely. cheers, Maddie!

Hey guys. Have recently put in another engine and running into a few issues It starts but begins to play up and stalls. Only runs with choke on and ends up dying still within like a min . Could this be something to do with a blocked jet, timing, bad fuel, dirty fuel filter or air fuel mixture ?? Second issue I have is that my radio and clock are running as soon as you put the negative cable on the battery. Have checked the earths in the engine bay but they are bolted in. Any advice would be much appreciated Cheers. Engine is a 4kc and the model is an 83 ke70 wagon which has had egr deleted before I bought it 2 years ago. Will reply on smoko

I always like having a big battery in my cars. If you ever run into carby troubles you can easily flatten a small standard battery trying to start it, or if your alternator or wiring isn't fantastic then it can give you a bit of extra juice before you go flat. It's also handy for the times you build an engine and crank it without ignition to get oil through it. I measured up the battery tray and room available in my KE30, went down to Autobarn and looked at what they had on the shelf. I went from a standard MF43 battery (238Wx138Dx186H) with 360CCA to a SuperCharge MF52 (237Wx171Dx182H) with 650CCA. Fits perfectly with a new 7" battery clamp. I started a new page on the wiki for batteries: http://www.rollaclub..._Series/Battery (inb4 someone criticises me for adding 4.5kg of sprung weight to the front of my car)

As title says, something along the line is meaning my battery isn't charging. It will drive with a jump start, but only reads around 9 on the multimeter. Brand new alternator Brand new battery Brand new terminals and wiring Brand new regulator. Yet its still doing it. This is on my 4k KE70 Panel van. Any help would be massively appreciated.
