  1. The headlight lenses are looking a little yellowy due to age. Not bad though (as seen in the photos) but brand new ones will be clear as a bell. My current ones can probably be wet sanded to look like new, but I've already ordered my new set and am going to sell my current set to recuperate some of the cost. Nothing physically wrong with my current ones though, I'm just a fussy prick, lol. Hell no! . Definitely wouldn't find knock-off items of the originals on my car
  2. Thanks mate :D Next on the list is shaved front door handle locks and a brand new set of BZ Touring headlights (same as my current set but brand spanking new from Toyota).
  3. Thanks mate. Here's some new photos taken over the last few days:
  4. Couldn't resist taking one more photo :D -
  5. Awesome, but good luck, they're incredibly hard to find ;). JDM market only so keep an eye out for the Jap models only. Yep, single DIN dimensions. Here's a few new photos that I took today:
  6. Thanks! Yeah the fitment was bloody good considering it was off an entirely different model and shape of vehicle. I saw one fitted to a Caldina a couple of months ago and it got me thinking, so I compared the dimensions and they were virtually the exact same width as my Corolla :D. Had the same kind of luck with the lip on the front bumper, which is actually off a Nissan Bluebird SSS . Yeah that's the only thing that needs doing now, and maybe bringing the exhaust up a tad so it sits higher. Instead of cutting out the hole bigger I was thinking that I could maybe spray that section black, so it's not as obvious :) Haha, jokes on them because all I keep in there are a couple of USB sticks for my head-unit :laff:
  7. I installed a rare OEM Toyota Caldina rear lip in the weekend. The fitment wasn't 100% perfect since the lip is off a completely different model, which happens to be a wagon, but was nothing that a heat gun, a lot of patience and some urethane couldn't fix :). Got my muffler slightly moved over today because it was touching against the left hand side of the lip. Here's some photos I just took within the last hour:
  8. Here's some better shots I took of my car today with the new wheels:
  9. Couldn't agree more. Only takes about 1.5 hours  I bought and fitted some new wheels today . Here's some quick pics. Better photos to come soon:
  10. A couple of new shots that I took last night:
  11. Thanks Ken :) I fitted these today - Rare OEM factory option tweeter pods. I've wanted some for quite a while but they're hard to find as they were only available as an optional extra:
  12. ^ The links aren't working for me unfortunately mate.
  13. Here's a couple of new shots that I took on Wednesday:
  14. Very possible. It's funny you said that because lately I've been seeing some of the Japanese AE100/AE101 models driving around with a tail light on one side that has a very light orange indicator and a brighter red brake portion. It's one of the replacement ones that you can buy online (non-genuine part). So perhaps these replacement ones I'm seeing were made in Australia or to Australian standards? The difference between the centre garnish and the tail light on the other side stands out like dog's balls, but I guess a lot of people don't care. Better than some people who break their garnish and replace it with a red/clear facelift one when they've got red/orange non-facelift tail lights (or vice versa) though :rolls: :laff:
  15. Yep, very true. The pre-facelift JDM tail lights have the dual bulbs, but interestingly the facelift JDM tail lights only use a single bulb. This was another reason why I wanted to revert back to the pre-facelift tail lights. I thought that maybe it depended on the model, but I compared every single model, including the three top models (SE Limited, SE-G and GT) but the facelift models all still only used the single bulb. The pre-facelift JDM tail lights don't have the faded indicator though. It matches the garnish perfectly :) Thanks man. The facelift tail lights make the car look more modern, but the centre garnish always bugged me because it looked too dark in my opinion. I also liked the way the pre-facelift tail lights 'flowed' with the garnish, especially since the orange strip went all the way along the back of the car . Was a love/hate kinda thing, but at the end of the day the pre-facelift tail lights won :laff:
  16. ^ Thanks. I am very proud indeed . It's always a lot of fun finding new locations to take the photos  I actually fitted some of the facelift tail lights like in the pic you posted but I was more of a fan of the pre-facelift ones. The facelift tail lights suit the darker coloured Corollas better in my opinion. Here's a couple of pics of what it looked like: And here's some more new shots:
  17. I made the most of the good weather today and took some photos:
  18. We've had a lot of rain here lately (and it's meant to be summer, lol), but the sun finally arrived today so I decided to make the most of it and snap a few pics of the Corolla:
