  1. ^ Thanks man  Here's a couple of shots that I took about an hour ago, just before the rain set in:
  2. Thanks mate. This city is great for photography, as you would know. Hoping to find some new and exciting places to take more photos in future
  3. Haha thanks! I figured I might as well change it to something more fitting :laff: Yeah the cabin will be free from impurities now (or at least until I open the door or put the window down, haha). Should compliment the air purifiers nicely  Cheers guys. I'm really glad that I decided to finally get it done. Makes me wonder why I waited so long!
  4. This arrived from Japan this morning - An OEM cabin filter. It was a very rare optional extra, and I didn't even know it existed until about 6-months ago. I managed to find the rare cabin filter door to hold it in, so have been waiting for this to arrive. I installed it about half an hour ago, so here's some pics of the filter, door and finished product:
  5. Currently hunting for the extremely rare digital dash, the mirror tweeter pods and the a-pillar map light. Got another mod on the way but am waiting for a package to arrive from Japan . Will post the pics when it arrives :) Thanks mate :y: Hahaha, knowing me I'd actually have one of those if they existed :laff:. Thanks buddy, much appreciated :D I attended a Toyota meet last night and a friend of mine snapped some shots of my car: Also, finally got my door cards reupholstered with the Corolla GT fabric (fabric transferred from one set of door cards to the other). I've had the GT seats installed for about 18-months, but never got around to getting the door card fabric transferred across because every upholsterer I went to wanted to charge between $500-700 :o (couldn't just swap the GT door cards straight over because the plastic was grey, whereas the interior plastic in my SE Limited is plum). A lot of places didn't even want to attempt the job, mainly because the door card was all one piece, so they'd have to tuck it in perfectly whilst also lining up the holes for the electric window switch etc. Ended up finding an Indian guy who has been in the business for 50-years that was willing to do it for $180. Dropped it off yesterday before lunch and it was ready at 11am this morning :D Here's the result:
  6. Thanks mate  Cheers man. Your Corolla sounds nice. The FX bumper is very easy to source here in NZ. As of recently I can now ship bumpers overseas as NZ Post raised their maximum size limit on the International Economy Courier service. There are a fair few SE Limited sedans like my one over here, but every one I've seen has been unmodified. If there's any JDM parts you'd like just give me a yell as I send parts to Aussie all the time. It's very cheap to send stuff there :)
  7. LOL, that's the best interpretation I've heard so far! You deserve a prize for that one :laff:. The actual meaning I was going for was whipped as in whipped cream (since the car is white), but your one sounds much better!
  8. Thanks mate. Much appreciated. It's nice to be able to combine two of my passions  My latest addition - A rare OEM (optional extra) under-seat tray. It has a bracket which gets mounted underneath the passenger's seat (screw holes were already there) and allows you to store various items, such as tools, a first aid kit, map books, hand wipes, cleaning cloths etc. It could also come in useful if you're wanting to hide your GPS, radar detector, stereo face-plate etc when leaving the vehicle unoccupied. First one I've ever come across and I got it for a steal . Was hard to take photos of it, but here it is: Also, I fitted some personalised plates today. Would love to know what people's interpretation of the word "whipped" means, so feel free to post your comments below :D
  9. Thanks! That's a huge compliment!. It's nice to meet a fellow member who is into genuine accessories/optional extras. Sports wheels were available on the GT models. The extremely rare TRD2000 model also had sports wheels, but finding those these days would be like finding a needle in a haystack, literally, as only 12 TRD2000 models were ever produced. Here's another rare optional extra that I installed recently - An optional extra Clean Box: And here's some of the latest photos I've taken:
  10. This arrived a couple of hours ago - An OEM multi-box (optional extra). I swapped it with a friend in Indonesia for my 'For Your Life Scene' storage compartment that I had in there previously. Was eager to install it straight away so here's some pics:
  11. This arrived today :D P.S. First post now updated with all of the latest photos and mods
  12. My OEM optional extra 'Burger Tray' arrived from overseas this morning. Took me ages to find one in plum to match the rest of my interior plastic. They're hard to find at the best of times, but getting one that was plum in colour was a mission. Got there in the end though :). Here's some photos - The first one being from the original sales brochure and the rest of the actual item:
  13. Found out yesterday that my Corolla has made 'Showoff of the Week' on CarDomain this week, which was very cool to hear :D Here's the link: http://www.cardomain.com/sotw In other news, my spare roof-mounted Air Purifier arrived from the Philippines today. I bought it just for the plastic filter cover because the one I have currently installed was missing that piece. Planning on keeping the rest of the unit for spare parts in case I ever need it. Here's some pics of my air purifier now 100% complete:
  14. Decided to take my Corolla for a few photos at an underground parking lot today. Then when I got home I noticed that the tide was in across the road from my place, so zapped over there and took one more photo :)
  15. Thank you mate. It has been well looked after over the last 18 years, particularly over the 3-years I've owned it, so it's not all dinged up and dented like a lot of the other ones out there. It's hard to believe that she's 18 sometimes, particularly with the new front end (headlights and bumper). Could swear it looked 10 years younger after those two mods :D I took some new interior photos today as the last shots I took were back in February, and a few things have changed since then:
  16. :D I appreciate it. Would love to go pro someday . Haha yeah I can't really stand slapped on bodykits. I was even originally was against getting an FX-GT front bar because I thought the 'mouth' was too large, but the lip seems to have fixed that. Would be a perfect place for a front mount intercooler Thanks man Here's a couple more photos that I took yesterday:
  17. Thanks for the compliment mate. Nah I don't make a living out of photography. Just a guy with a DSLR who has a passion for taking photos :). I've had no training or anything. Great to hear that the rainbow shot is your desktop background :D. Glad you like the look of the front bar too  Cheers man. Rota Grid's are nice wheels, but they're too common in my opinion. I've grown quite attached to my current wheels :laff:
  18. Thanks man Yeah I added an aftermarket lip to the FX bumper and got everything painted at the same time. The lip makes a huge difference to the appearance IMO :). Next up will be a rear lip. Not too keen on pods (spats) on the ends, so will be looking for a full length rear lip. Like this one:
  19. Thanks mate. It was surprisingly easy to find. I literally just stumbled upon it, lol. Has come in really handy so far. Makes driving a lot more comfortable. Makes me wonder how I ever lived without it :laff:
  20. Just finished installing this - A rare OEM armrest extender (optional extra). It's covered in velour fabric with two slide out compartments either end and still allows you to use the twin storage compartments underneath. It's actually navy blue in colour (the same as my seats) but the flash of the camera made it appear grey. The first two photos are from the original sales brochures:
