I've almost emptied my Turkey!! :yak: -
Congrats to Unco Tobys, you've made my Grinde list. Your buttered pop corn tastes like shit. Where is the phucking butter!

I was offered the original chrome strips from the original KE30 vinyl roof the other day. I declined as they are too square. They apparently match the body lines below the door windows the run up to the roof. Its cause they have to get around the fuel filler. I've decided just to use the stick on type of chrome strip. When it comes to the fuel filler I'll just cut it and rejoin it on the other side. I don't think it'll look that bad. Just a thought, maybe one day I might have the interior in the 3o redone to make her more Delux. I was thinking maybe brown leather or suede.

The Completely Unofficial Drunk Thread

Well I've got my Turkey out. Last weekend I drank half the bottle. I'll see if I can finish it off this time. -
I'll see how I go with the one from D1 first. I plan to get extractors and a sports exhaust system stuck on it later anyway just like Lolla.
-
Na, I have a perfect exhaust just sitting in the wrecked wagon (D1). I kinda like the red on my mates KE30 (Candy Apple Red) but I want something bright red that would go with white signage.
-
Yeah I think the car was maroon with a white roof. And if that is tru then having a lighter colour roof for Lolla should make her cooler. Not that she isn't cool enough. :y:
-
Well if the work horse fails she could always become my "Show Horse." Any ideas of a good red that I should go??
-
Yeah, I've had the idea for a long time but yesterday I was drivimg behind an early Kingswood and really liked the way it was painted two colours.
-
lOl, I did that years ago on a web site that isn't around anymore. There is no way the car will get a vinyl roof. Its too risky cause if its not done correctly the roof will rust out underneath the vinyl. As for the black around the door frames its a maybe. I was also thinking maybe black roof. But then if I were to do that I'd want to look into seeing if the paint could be applied to look like vinyl. I need to start collecting the Corolla badges to see what would look good on the C pillars. I was thinking maybe the early KE30 badge or maybe the blue or red KE55 button ones. I think that would give it a bit of class. If all else fails I'll look into a sticker/decal or maybe having a few badges professionally made.

Back onto the topic of political correctness. I'm shocked that kids still have tempory tattoos. I would have thought that they would have become the next Fads and become Decals or something.

Hey if anyone sees a KE36 wagon, panel van or KE38 wagon, panel van with the original chrome roof racks, could they please let me know?? thanks, Jon.
-
Sounds like a plan. :y: I was thinking about colours. I'd like to do what I did in my KE30 thread but can't find a picture of a wagon or van. Anyway, I'm hoping to have a red van, black interior and maybe white signage on the side.
-
Only is the seals are faulty.
-
Oh I will :y:
-
We are looking at the white pin stripe around the door windows and the white rear quarter vent?? Looks good. I love the venetians and the white interior. Go white dash too :y:
-
Those side buckets in the boot have drainage holes. But if the holes get blocked then you will definitely see rust.
-
Well change of plans. Since I'm stripping most parts out of my wagon before it is sold (buyers request) I am not going to let the black early dash and black cloth seats go to waste. So today I removed the dash from the wagon and installed it into the panel van, along with the seats. I ended up replacing almost all of the screws with stainless steel ones. Costed me a bit but looks good. I also changed over some of the wiring, removed all the stereo wiring hanging about and swapped over the steering wheel as it was crumbling. I removed that dorky center console, which I am unsure where it originated from. It turns out that I have a KE70 5 speed. So now I'm stuck with one of two options. 1. Remove KE70 5 speed and install one of my 3 spare KE55 5 speeds. Or... 2. Keep it as is, close the hole in the floor and install an auto KE55 console. I also found something interesting today. The wagons, even tho they never came with rear demisters on the early models still have the wiring all ready to go :) Now the van has a busted exhaust... Sometime soon I will try to figure out a way to get the exhaust out of the green and swap them over. (Green wagon currently on belly :y: )

That is a guy, my bos. My sister is the one sitting in his lap.
-
One last random shot. I was killing some time at the Library while driving mum around so I looked up the KE2x and KE55 repair manuals. I've never seen this before in a Corolla, Kingswood yes, Corolla no. Its a glass fuel filter with a replaceable element from the KE2x's. I thought it was cool...

Not vinyl, paint. Vinyl is bad is not done correctly.
-
Yeah Trev, I think we need to do another beach trip. And I think I did better with that one as I had tools. My niece was there with her spade which helped dig really neat tunnels.

This is the second time for me to upload this since my net can't start connected for more than 20 mins at a time... Saw this on new years. Like who would make a stretch Ford Territory?? :y: This is my boss and my sister. I took this cause it looks really suss... I love this, no floor #13. I got this 4 channel amp the other week. I swapped my 3 last beans ever for it. I was mowing my Brother-In-Law's Great Aunt's lawn and decided to do crop circles... This is dad's garage. I don't think he'll ever get it back. I keep buying more shelves to tidy it up then since there is space I buy more parts. Then I buy more shelves to tidy it up and since there is space I buy more parts... You can guess where this is going... Not the best pic but its the NEW Holden Ute but the tailgate looks odd. Is it a Maloo?? I bought this suction cup tripod so I can film while on cruises :) I went to Warner Bros Movie World last Sundae and saw Batman with his Batmobile... Another tattoo from a Warner-Roadshow Theme Park. Guess what TV show?? Some sexy car decorations found along Main Street at Movie World... I love this one... Go Speed Racer!!
