  1. kedave. i have been lookin round on the net and i found someone on rollaclub that makes mounts to fit the 4age block and will bolt to the ae71. i think personaly that the ke70 crossmember will fit but... i have been wrong once already so these mounts will 100% work so i think i will go with that. unfortunetly these new mounts will take a $100 chunk out of my pocket but it will work! thanks for all the help guys!
  2. hey every one. i bought these two wastes of money off ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RWD-Starlet-4age-engine-mounts-kp60-kp61-kp62-Toyota-16v-20v-/281069396828?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41710aa35c&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1156 when i asked him he told me they would fit my new ae71 crossmember. but then on the motor drop date! they did not reach either side of the crossmember's mounts. (very upset) so i have sent the seller a message but havnt got a reply. so it is looking like i have the mounts. AWESOME! but my question is today where the hell do i find the right ones? i have a sneaking suspicion that they will fit a ke70 crossmember as the are much closer together then 86 motor mounts that i had seen on a mates ae86. but i don't know!
  3. Actually my boss was talking about that place. I might do that. Thanks for the help guys.
  4. Alright well ... I have looked around, got onto ebay, spoke to my old man and it seems i have to options... 1. Get one off ebay. Same plug hole and the mounting hole i guess you can call it? Looks like it could fit all mad. But I'm not sure on the brand :S (price $70) 2. The old man said there is a fee places round my area (mansfield) that sell altenators. A guy along creek road some where.. And another dude at stones corner. (Price 165 and up)
  5. Hey guys. 4age build is going well. My parts pile is growing and the. Again so is the bill! Haha My latest snag is the alternator. Now i got a band spanka today from repco. The usless @unts sent the wrong one. Must be for a later modle as it didny fit into or over my altenator braket! Anyway my question is. Where would be the best place to go? Or what others would fit my motor? (Import) 4age Bigport, 16v. (From ae82)
  6. Crapppp i can't fine anything on the net of where to get them from. Would it be easy to get them made up?
  7. Awww shhh!!t i forgot to get a photo and he sold the bloody thing today!! Dam it!
  8. Hey all. I am doin a 4age convertion for my little red ke wagon. All is going well till now hahaha Iv just gone to my mates and seen his 4age. And noticed all his alternator brackets and actual motor mounts also on the left side of the block there is a small bracket under the starter motor (no idea what its for) But anyway my queation for today how hard is it going to be to find these parts? (Hopefully i have discribed them well enuff)
  9. Wow awesome respones for everyone!! Thanks heaps! But there is a reason why i do not have an after market computer and all the awesome shit i would love to have. Its beacuse i am a first year apprentice. And get paid a bog boat load of f&ck all. So. I was thinking alone the lines of a reflash once everything is done. And actually running. I know from this there will be little to no power difference.. But hopefully (note the hopfully) the re-flash idea could work. If anyone has actually tryed it and failed please tell me.. But if you havnt don't say anything! Hahaha sooo many people bursting my bubble. The idea seems to work... As a standard ecu has to a degree of 'learning' it can do. So maybe... Juust maybe it could 'learn' to run its self with the itbs with this Re of the Flash
  10. Well... I guess ill see how it goes and come back with what i find. Thanks guys!
  11. Alriiighhht well i know that my bigport runs a MAP sensor not a afm. Sooo i should be all sweet. Is there anything else i should know??
  12. sorry man i forgot to put it in. i have a 16v 4age bigport. out of a (jdm) ae82. thus making it an imported 4age. (basted and half to find parts for) so what is goin to happen if i plug it all in with the standard ecu? it will run bad how? i am very sorry for the noob questions. but everyone is helpling me out so much!
  13. hummmmm... Well i was talkin to the boys at work. and well lets face it... its a 4 banger still so I'm not looking to smoke 26's off the lights. i know it will be slow still but for what i want i want some responsive power. and thats what i have been told these itbs will achieve.
  14. alright some random dude on facebook just burst my bubble hard out. to run 20v itbs on my 16v 4age bigport... do i need (HAVE TO) run a new ecu.... or can i run the standard one as i am still using the standard injectors?
  15. hmm alright then. well i can get the the standar water pump through work easy as. and they are in stock. so i think an 86's water pump would be a tad hard to obtain. but other the the water pump it all should be right. cheers for you help guys.
  16. well that came out all Fecked up but do they look to be the right ones?
  17. does this look right? Big Port ITB Adapter 16V 4AG $275.00 $275.00 Red, Dual Row Crank Pulley 4AG FWD, AW11, ST20V $130.00 $130.00 Red, Alternator Pulley 4AG $30.00 $30.00 Red, Water Pump Pulley FWD, AW11, 20V

  19. what is the difference between a fwd pulley and an ae86 pulley... arnt they the same f9ckin thing?
  20. oh mad! i am gettin that adaptor plate from there too hopfully.
  21. hey guys. i have just bought 4age for my ke wagon. and am looking to freshin her up. now. most of the pulleys have been cracked or have chucks out of them. due to $h!t KeNts at the wreckers when they pulled it out of the car. any how if i were to go aftermarket pulleys, like $h!tty ebay ones or any other that are suggested. is it true that if you get cheap ebay jobs, they can undercharge the alternator and cause lots of little problems? Another things sorry guys. I am looking at freshing up the old heart so I'm trying to put together a list of things to get. pretty much starting..... now. 1. water pump (old ones fecked) 2. idler kit 3. new belts 4. spark plugs 5. leads. (running ITB's too) 6. 7. 8. and yeah thats it so far.
  22. oh ok dude. thanks heaps!
