  1. Jordain, I've been keeping an eye on this thread fof forever. You're an inspiration to me, and I love the way you've really gotten stuck in. You obviously have knowledge beyond your years, and you should be proud of yourself. I have neither the time nor cash to do anything like what you're doing now, but one day the BEAMS will be going into my KE30 and I can only hope it comes out something like your little KE10. I know you said you were dreaming but mate, let me tell you, you're only keeping the dream alive for some of us douchebags with an ounce of the knowledge you have.   3. Hi guys, Timing chain is fubar needs replaced on my FIL's 5k. He works for Toyota and found that he could get 3k and 4k parts but 5k weren't available?! since deciphered/assumed that 5ks are only jap imports? 3k and 4k have different tensioners - does anyone know if either will work on the 5k engine? i would assume that the 5k will use a 4k chain and tensioner, but i'm just looking for clarification. serious noob question, but hey, that what you guys are for! D P.S. hope this is in the right section

Hey mate 4 speed shifter definiteyl doe NOT fit - the plate that attaches the shifter to the box is a different size and the holes don't line up - a plate doesn't work either cos it throws off the "throw" on the shift. I've also read somewhere that there are a few different K50 levers as well... so you'll need to find one off the type of car you got your box from... good luck D
