yeah I actually love ke's with no bumpers. there was a ke build I was reading a while ago, no bumpers and running a fmic with an oil cooler in front. looked awsome! aha. I will probs paint the bonnet purple if I keep it, I'm not too keen on the look now (of the white bonnet)

yeah I understand, alot of people hate stikerbombed stuff. I don't mind it but think its still better than running shit bumpers. I no soon enough i'll get sik of them anyway and in the mean time I'm keeping my eye out for some good nic ones

Bumpers staying like that until I iether find better condition ones (a few dings and real rough under the stikers). As for the bonnet I was reading someones ride on here "4agte painted" and his is all white with a purple boot which I thought looked cool, so I did all purple with a white boot however doesnt suite as I thought so will be going the same colour as the car eventually.

So had a busy weekend. got first coat of paint on, then wet/dry, then second coat. then wet n dry with p2000, then cut then polish. Came out ok, there is still a couple dents and stuff here and there but I'm not exactly trying to build a showcar, I'm happy with the result. I put new rubber seals alround when putting stuff back, also did surge tank setup in boot, and now it doesnt surge :). Currently put my old tailights back in as my new ones havnt arived yet. Only thing I'm going to change about the paint at the moment is the mirrors and vents as they are not the colour I expected and look out of place, so will be doing these matte back. The colour of the car between me and a few mates is best descibed as the colour on the cadbury dairymilk packets. Also cleaned up the interior and put beam seat covers and mats in. pics:

aha. yeah ive had it for ages and still no rego.. all i need to do is finish painting bonnet then suss out why reverse lights arnt working and then it will pass. I can never get motivation to work on it though

been lazy with updates on here. Anyway I gave her 1 coat of paint and have cut it bak (wet/dry) ready for another. Also painted mirrors metalic purple. though they look more pink. possibly because it was cold when I painted them so ill give them another coat dureing the day.

aha yep. 76 2 door escort. thats basically finished though. Ive had that for years, currently painting up a bonnet for it as I forgott to lock it a few weeks ago and I drove it and it opened and bent in half :/. Ill get some pics up later on

Cheers. Today I got final coat of primer done, then put a fine black mist on and began wet/dry sanding. still got a few more panels to go but am getting there.

Aha. a mate actually suggested the same. personally not my cup of tea but may look good to some. not to mention the glare off sunlight and whatnot. would certainly be different though :)

Done a bit more. Finished sanding to bare metal. primered and began sanding/bogging where necesary.
