  1. I reckon ill bring my car down weather will hopefully be a bit better tomorrow! is there any chance someone can bring some stickers along? cheers!
  2. Sorry guys havent been around much You are correct the plate isnt tapered,it has its own bolt pattern so.I'm gusding the manifold wss just designed for that pattern in a short run The other end is standsrd weber pattern I highly reccomend any alternator other than lancer.....they are not rebuildable as i have found out It was all custom brackets anyway mate, its got an old mazda one on it now 323 i think The engine mounts are pretty straight forward,we just sat the motor on timber on the crossmember, slit the long mount and bent it down to the correct angle, extended it and gussted it with plate The other side we just cut a section out to shorten it The gearbox crossmember is standard just spaced one side off the box and the rubber takes up the rest
  3. sorry mate its allback together now! yea heaps taken out,i think you are right, you.can see the entire valve from the port face... yea its got enough power for the standard wheels and suspension! wind blows it all over the place!
  4. no I had just slapped it back together befor the dyno day,it really needs a skim and a full rebuild, rings are tired and no 2 an 3 pistons are damaged...... I think it has a couple dodgy injectors, will be getting them cleaned/flowed and then a tune yea must have been leigh I was talking to,he said you might make it down heres some pics from the day pretty disappointed with the power ,made 57kw (has made 72) but considering that motor has done 12000km in this car and two years in a rally car can't really complain! has never run air filters either......
  5. had to do the head gasket the other week, was a steam engine for a couple weeks found some pretty bad detonation damage to the pistons an head, time to get it tuned properly!
  6. Your wagon looks sweet! Mine are a year old, getting a bit ratty on the edges cause I never lube up the underside like they say to,but can't complain!
  7. more recently I decided to fit the custom extractors on the thing, that were originally made for the motor, and tuned with came out ok with some ceramic paint and heat wrap got keen and decided to tidy up the engine, started with painting and polishing the intake will put up pics of the finished result tomorrow
  8. gave the old girl an oil change and a tuneup few weeks ago,new leads and plugs, still had the old ones in it from when it was raced last,a couple years ago
  9. are there any 5spd options that will fit without cutting the car? how does a t50 line up (i have the k to t bellhousing) Ryan
  10. Yea will definately say hi,I'm kinda dreading the drive up there with the 4spd @ 4500rpm but its the only way I'm gona get there! Assuming sev means ke70 haha is that the one that was at the japan classic day with the 4agte? if so I am very interested to see it run and chat to the owner, have a similar setup in an escort Ryan
  11. Any rollas going? I might take mine up there for a couple laps just for a laugh
  12. Thanks for the kind words... yea I'm really happy with the car after purchasing it from te27...i was feeling the same about modifying it but I knew putting this engine in wasnt going to mean doing many,if any,non reversible mods to the car We spent considerable time working out the best way to do the swap so the car can be made original if I ever desire.I have kept everything from the car in storage.I think only one or two smalls holes were made to complete the entire conversion....thats why I'm stuck with the ke10 4 spd for now!....this engine longs for a close ratio 5 spd haha. Plans at this stage are to fit the proper extractors when they arrive, put some new pugs in it and get it dyno tuned properly, hopefully it makes similar power to what it had last time  and I am in need of some rollaclub stickers if its deemed worthy  and yes it is completly untouched everywhere else, including the suspension and brakes :laff: and I think it will remain that way,I have no plans to put it on the track so they cope fine for now :lolcry: I may lower the front end to match the rear at some point Definatly keen to get out and about over summer,I have missed the last couple events as I was on holiday Cheers,Ryan
  13. not long after having it running the heater core sprung a couple leaks....not really suprising it didnt love the fancy high pressure cap on the alloy rad haha managed to fix it up with a bit of soldering, pressure tested to 15psi each time until i had fixed all the pin holes...... been sweet ever since.... tune was all over the place because the original fuel reg was misplaced so i had to run another(rb20 if interested) and they all vary slightly anyway purchased the innovate wideband so I could start fine tuning it bit of advice if you are installing one of these...make sure the weld on the bung is perfect! like properly perfect!! haha it will save you a lot of swearing and head scratching when, after calibrating it 10 times it still reads full lean while you can see black smoke pouring out the back!!
  14. SLOW! FAST! SLOW! FAST! AND SEXY  put a dogleg in the shifter to suit the new uprightness of the gearbox next mission was getting the old 5k extractors to fitup with the 4k,I had stupidly forgot to send the handmade 4-2-1 that were made specifically for this motor........ Because it has the spacer plate to work with the massive ports and the weber manifold the flange was all wrong,AND when it did bolt up it fouled on the steering box and chassis etc etc,AND then it leaked after all that and needed to be filed for hours and hours Argh!! ready to start!( I have since tidied up that ugly heater pipe etc startup vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1qGHshgOPo https://picasaweb.google.com/101461365068343049652/1969Ke10CorollaBuild#5601536173667575186
  15. over easter we decided to have a crack at throwing the new donk in,figured that would give us heaps of spare time..... 3 x 1am finshes later it still wasnt running haha pulled the old k motor out had to use the 4k flywheel because it was all balanced with the crank etc measured up the flywheels (checking the 4k flywheel would work with the old 1k clutchplate(the early box has the smaller input shaft) also had to check the mounting depth was correct for the old clutch cleaned up the bay,got rid of some unneeded wires sweet little alternator bracket to mount the lancer alt for more powers checking the alignment next headache was trying to fit this monstrosity without making holes in the car and also trying to hide it all!! Mounts were modified to upright the motor for intake clearance and in the hole! modify the radiator to suit the ke10 position mounted the pump under the rear of the car, luckily the tank had a threadd drain so I found an AN fitting to suit, drilled it out and inserted a short length of tube cut at an angle so the pickup ws just up of the bottom of the tank, stop crud getting sucked up when the tank is low...worked a treat drilled minimum number of holes in the car when mounting everything
