  1. Cheers guys. :D Yeah, i know I could get someone else to do it but money is TIGHT! :lolcry: Anyway, I had ITB and aftermarket ECU but I am taking that all back off now as I cannot afford to complete the car anymore, so it either sell car or use std JDM Ae86 LOOM, ENGINE and ECU?? So you can see where I stand. The loom and ECU are from the same car as the original engine that I am using so I was hoping it would be easy? So, there isnt a guide as such to wire up wires to wires then?? Its just, here in the UK AE86's are not as common as they are in Aus so finding a person who can do it for me is tough. :D cheers Adam :)
  2. Hi folks. Well I need help with the wiring side of a 4age into a KE70. I am trying to keep as much of the std KE70 wiring as poss. I have the reverse light, headlights, oil press, water temp etc all wired up I still need to wire up the 4age engine loom and ECU into the KE loom. Can anyone help me with a step by step guide?? (like the yellow wire goes on to the blue wire?? :lolcry:) Let me know as I am VERY NEW when it comes to wires and my mate who normally would help me isnt helping me anymore :) (fall out) Cheers Adam :D
  3. thank everyone for the good words! :y: Its been alot of hard work and even more cash but I always saw, if your gonna do something, do it as best you can! Its very near complet now, I still need to roll the arches and stuff so paint will need to be added although, it needs it anyway so... the ITB's are OER 45mm and from Yahoo Japan. And Teddy, you have put alot of work into your car and it too will be just as good whne its all done. remeber, we all like the same things here (Corollas!) :y: Adam :y:
  4. they should all work?? They show up for me and work on the other forums I post on?
  5. build up the rest of the front end.... Anyway.... Fitting the AE86 fuel tank was not as simple as I thoughs it would be but after a bit of :smash: :smash: and a little :( :( it went on nice and easy, with alteration need to the filler neck pipe as they are different so a cut and cut was needed! :D car up in the air and fitted rear bumper. fuel tank all in place, no shots of the alterations as it was to hot!! Note - fuel tank was like new as I repainted it but I got pissed with it and I don't care any more! :y: got some of these for the rear axel... and these Battle Version Kit 2 steering lock kit... also... My VEMS aftermarket ECU to run the 45mm throttle boddies arrived. This will come in hand when I upgrade to 20v/4agze next year (havent decided! :y:) but this looks like fun.... NOT! :( and here is the 14x8 wheel, notice how it wont fit with the bottom part of the wing attached, need to get the roller out asap! :y: gonna be fitting the rest of the engine bay parts tonight, like the radiator (using the ae86 one and it needs some brackets making), the throttle linkages etc. Let me know what you think. Cheers Adam :)
  6. add melted chocolate! add 4age. from this... to this... all new head seals, skimmed and new gasket throughout engine. fit in painted bay... cleaned and zinc plated alot of parts too.... fit on new T3 front coilover kit, TRD front ARB (rear to be added once brackets made), T3 NRCA's, T3 top mounts, Battle version increased steering lock kit 2, get the thing rolling...
  7. Hi folks, My name is Adam and I live in the United Kingdom. I have a project thread up at www.ae86drivingclub.com and recognise a few of you from there. just a quick look to where I am at now! Bought car last year, one owner, 25k on the clock and in great condition for age, I have owned a few AE86's here and there but really couldnt decide on what type I like and I also wanted an older car but I loved the 4age so bought a KE for an all-round mix! :y: stripped it down cleaned up the underside rust proofed it so it wouldnt rust away. added a AE86 Zenki drum axel and TRD 2way along with TRD Blue 8way adj shocks and poly bushes all round Had to fit an AE70 pedal box as the KE (K series engines) use the k40/50 gearbox and it is cable operated clutch but the 4age and T50 box from a AE86 is hydrolic so the clutch pedal neads changing and a clutch master cylinder needed putting in. hole to right for Clutch M/S prepped engine bay for painting, and cut out battery tray for a tidy look
  8. Hi all i have a ke70 that I plan to put a 4age in as it currently has a stock 4k. now, re the conversion, I am all set, know what to do etc. but the problem that has just come up is that. I am using a ae86 as a complete donner car for the ke70. but I have been told that even the ae86 pedal box is not a straight fit?? If its not what exactly should/needs to be done to make it go in correctly?? And tips from people who have atually done the conversion using a ae86 pedal box?? Cheers adam :P
  9. thanks mate that was useful! :) didnt notice it before :monkey:
  10. Cheers peeps!! :monkey: just he info I needed!! Ok I do have another question though. I know that once the engine is sitting in the KE (4age) on the gear box x memeber and engine x member, but what I am unsure about, is once its sitting there, what is needed to actually make it work?? If we forget about the wiring for now, what I am concerned with is things like throole cable, speedo cable, heat controls etc. And also, like the rad fitment (will use a AE86 one) What do I need to get in preperation for my conversion as I will be obtaining all the parts this week you see, and don't want to find I am missing anything in the process. I have looked through lots of other posts here but I just couldnt find anythink very detailed on the 4age conversion. ANY INPUT PLEASE :) Cheers Adam :P:
  11. ok first of all, hi!! :S Just found this site today after browsing the net. I never knew the site existed, and hve found out alot of useful info frm much reading. I have a 1980 ke70 her and its only done 40000 km from new, not bad for a 26 year old car!! Sorry that my first post is asking for help, but thats what led me here in the first place! ok, I am puting a 4age into my KE70. At the moment, it has a 4 speed 4k in it. Now, I know that to put the 4age into the KE you need the ae86 x member, and the t50 gearbox x member aswell, whish is all good. Also, I know, that as the T50 is a hydrolic I need the clutch pedal and the clutch master cylinder to make the clutch work. so far, so good. Let me know if I have missed anythng. Now my big worry, is making my ae86 coilover fit on my KE70. What do I need to make them fit??? I know that I need AE86 hubs, calipers. do I just need the ae86 steering knuckles?? Pleae let me know what I need to make it all fit. I was hoping that I can just keep the std KE70 steering rack and TCA too. I tried a search and could find anything re this but sorry if I overlooked it when I did search. I understand that what I think is right is ok, but its always best to get a second opinion!! so, as I have ranted on, just to make it clear, WHAT DO I NEED TO FIT AE86 SUPSPENSION ON A KE70?? thanks is advance dudes. Cheers Adam :P
