haha. regardless of where your generation lies you seem to have alot of knowledge about them all haha. i used tocau heaps when i owned a sportivo. so i already knew how sportivo strong it was but yeah back then i always saw threads pop up about older ones. not so much any more. i have to say (completely different car here) the best set out forum i have ever used has to be the street commodore forum. and no not because i love commodores (well as of last few months i have strongly turned away from holden/ford) I'm purely talking the way the forum is layed out and looks etc etc.

Out of the 4 I'm using at the moment rollaclub is one of the more informative ones. Definately not leaving any of them out. Tocau though seems to be very sportivo dominant and no one is interested in the old rollas. With the exception of yourself that got me onto all these other sites haha. Cheers.

Good afternoon peoples. I am after a set of bigport cams for my smallport ae93. I was advised that I need to be carefull when buying bigport cams as there is 2 sizes. One size is same as stock smallport cams. 232 I think it is. Then there is the larger ones. 240 I think. Now I have found a set of bigports claimed to be out of a series 2. How do I know what cams are what size? Or am I miss informed and all bigport cams are the same? Also what are they worth? I've noticed a few people sold and are selling for $50 over a few forums does that sound about right. I have a few sets available to buy but no one can tell me what size they are. Cheers guys. Not sure about MA44AD but my rolla is an SX (AE93) Does your comment still stand? Are the AE92 SX brakes better? If so why would they down grade them in the newer model?

Gday mate. My story is the exact same as yours. Just sol my V8 and bought my AE93 a few weeks ago. I also have the same issue where it doesnt seem to want to pull up. Need to use some force to stop it. For such a light car this issue must mean the stock brakes are about as good as bicylce brakes. I'm also keen to upgrade the brakes but on a budget. If you get more information and figures on this please let me know. I was going to go slotted discs and better pads and just give all the lines a flush with some descent brake fluid but i have a feeling it isnt going to make too much difference? Also is your design going to fit in the standard rim or upsized rims will be needed? from memory vt brakes need a minimum 16inch rim? Cheers.

Good day people's. In the photo's you will see that my intake pipe is stuffed. Big crack in it hence all the tape so NEEDS replacing. Now the very FEW stock intake pipes i have found to replace it with are quite pricey which i am not willing to pay. Anyways i just need to know what a certain hose and connection does so i know if i can disconnect it or not as my new hose wont have the connection available. (I also understand i will lose the resinator by replacing the standard pipe but my way of thinking is if i replace it with a high flow intake then the resinator becomes irellivent as there will be plenty of air available when the foot gets pushed to the floor. Correct me if I'm wrong) anyways what does this do. Connects from the very start of the intake pipe, over to ???? then back over to the throttle body/tps area. This particular hose is missing a clamp and sitting loose on the nipple anyway? Is this important and has to stay connected or can it go. I guess if its necessary i can cut a small hole and put a nipple into the pipe I'm going to use so this can be connected. If necessary as thats a pain haha. Cheers. You will probably notice a few other split hoses and missing clamps. All this is getting replaced or fixed too haha.

Hey guys. My name is Justin. Just bought myself another corolla which has brought me back to these forums. Have been away for a long time. Clearly not as immaculate and new as the at the time brand new 05 sportivo but I'm still quite happy with its graceful aging and condition As far as i know apart from it clearly being lowered its completely stock. Looks wise with exception of rear muffler, lowered, tint and small sound system my goal for this car is to keep complete original look. I will just slowly source out or re paint new bits and peices to get interior and exterior as overrated as possible. Power wise CAI, Upsized throttle body, Extractors and exhaust. Thats about it really. I just want a nice second daily driver cheaper than the big holden family car but still reasonably quick and fun to drive. Cheers guys.
