  1. ANother manifold too keep a keen eye out for is the "SK Sanyo " veeery rare for a k series but also one of the best also TRD but we all know that
  2. 4K will go to 9500rpm 10000rpm all day hyundai!!!! The feral 4k were running has a huuuge KELFORD camshaft "DATRALLY" spec 500+lift and around 330 degrees duration (yep 330 idles at 1800rpm with around 36degrees of advance) powerband 4500 to 9800rpm twin 45 dellortos seriously ported 3k big port, pacemaker tuned length extractors KAMINARI inlet manifold (redline, lynx etc rubbish for hi rpm) Also none of the frankenstein kinda internal stuff goin on here, the 4k engine was severley overengineered from the factory and can handle an amazing amount of abuse, so no pretty roller rockers datto pushrods or anything, and i wouldnt put holden 202 bits in my lawnmower lol. At the end of the day theyre not expensive engines to start with just rev em till they snap and build a new one hope this helps
  3. Yeah its not bad at all, it was nowhere near trees so leaves didnt build up on it and rubbers were quite good (kept it pretty dry inside) i was amazed when the carpet came up it was all good, its obviously had a pretty entertaining life but underside looks like a wrc car or it went for a paddock bash or ten, far too good to wreck out or scrap so I'm savin it ..
  4. Yep youve got the right car !That was previous owner that sold it to harveys my mate bought it as he worked at harveys at the time I Beleive it was last on the road in the late 90s (it looks like it too) we have no intentions of reregistering it as shell be a track car etc ,I can't beleive how retro popular these rollas are, as i said we used to get laughed at for drivin em (until they heard em) ps:: This is the members dad posting at the moment to save confusion!!!
  5. Can remember being laughed at for havin a 5" monster tacho until i explained it was the only one they made back then that had enough numbers on it hehe
  6. yep sth gippsland, car was in langwarrin for years n years in a paddock with my old ke20 from back in the day the ke 20 had a pretty serious 4k setup in it so that will be the transplant driveline, used to spin it to 9500rpm with sidedraughts n all the gear on it may even put a bit of gas up its bum for calder and easternats, lardner park etc more to come.....
  7. ]Hi guys, heres our '67 Ke10B Race Car, Dad and his mates had some pretty wild old 'rollas many years ago, so we decided to create a tribute to everyone who used to play around with them as most of everyones bits, parts ,cars; etc still survived it was just too tempting to put it all in the 10 for a bit of cheap fun on the weekend...... We found it sitting in a paddock after 9 years, heres a few pics of how it was found Brought the car home, started to dis-assemble so we could see what she had to hide. Intentions are to turn it into a budget Hillclimb, Circuit and Sprint car. It seems to have been modified in the '80's judging by the aftermarket seats we found in it... It didnt come with an engine or gearbox, but appears to have had a 5sp in it as the trans tunnel has had extra holes cut in it. With the intention of making it a track car, we plan on widening the track of it, and putting a Ke70 front end in it, it will be "K" engine powered to kick off with hence the thead name, but with lots of mods to increase power handling etc.. Upon putting it in the garage, we pulled it apart, and found it had a bit of rust hiding. A few plates and an attack with the welder seemed to do the trick more to come...
