  1. I thought id change the gasket on my diff housing in my ae71 4age bigport.... As i was draing the oil only about 30ml came out pretty sludgy and i noticed someone thought u don't need a gasket in the diff haha... Anyway thought it was all good but i noticed i was getting wheel spin stupid easy worked out only my left wheel was spinning so I'm guessing the weld broke so can u just reweld it or is it ducked
  2. All sorted i used the new clutch with the old pressure plate worked a treat heaps stoaked
  3. I put a new clutch in my ae71 its got a fwd bigport engine with a t50 behind it putting the new clutch in did nothing maybe even made it worse. I replaced the master and the slave just to try and eliminate all options before dropping the box put again... Still no good (sigh) so last night i dropped the box again and the fins on the pressure plate looked twisted or warped the clutch i bought was for a ae92 so ot didnt come with the right thrust bearing so i got the right one but now I'm not sure if the pressure plate is right or of the clitchs match up or if anyone has seen the fins all contourted before also when i undid the pressure plate the fins all went back into place cheers
  4. I pulled the box back out today i had the clutch plate around the right way but the fins on the pressure plate were all warped but when i undid the bolts the fins went back into their normal place i found out its a bigport out of a ae82 now i just need to check the clutch os the same as a small port from an ae92
  5. Also when putting the clutch in after all the pressure plate bolts are tightend should yhe clutch plate have any movement
  6. Il pit some picks tomorro it looks the same as my ke clutch pedal minus the cable top with a rough welded on bit of plate with som holes in it
  7. Pulled the master out today n found out its not off an ae71 so my job just got harder because now i need to take off the inlet manifold and drill new holes. Also the pedal box looks like a ke70 clutch pedal with a bit of steel welded to it which is just fantastic i think someone took the backyard job a little too far
  8. Taking into account what everyone has said i decieded to replace all the parts that could have problems. Today i bought a new master and slave on $30 each so i was cheering. Also got the right thurst bearing and it seems i have the clutch in the right way so ive taken tomorro off work to get this little problem sorted( fingers crossed)
  9. battery last a while but eventually wont kick over and the charge light is always on quick charge n its back to square one
  10. ok so I took the box out today and the clutch was almost bare so in went a new one the thrust bearing in the kit didn't fit so I kept the old it didn't have any clips on it so I used the clip from the new kit held together pretty good I thought. got it all back together n now its worse than before I think I may of put the clutch in backwards is it spring side to the gearbox or motor tomorrow I'll have a look at the mounts for the master n I'm pretty sure the slave is off a fwd box the writing on it faces the motor not out so will that b a problem. finally for todays efforts when I took the gear shifter out the little plastic cup was broken in the middle so I glued it back up n now the box feels much tighter still no luck finding the second idle screw but that's not a priority atm.
  11. I guessing its the alternator cause she wont charge but just thought id throw it out there cause u know better than me
  12. Ok so ive bled the clutch to no avail the guy i bought it off said he changed the motor and the pressure plate at the same time and hes been having that trouble since the good news os tomorro I'm picking up the other 4age n hopefully it has the other pressure plate or should i just replace the clutch
  13. Your a legend mate. Il have a look at it all today and try and get some picks up.
  14. Just bought a little blue ae with a few problems... The biggest one is the clutch pedal u need to push it a little beyond the floor to make it engage properly n i don't know how to adjust it theres a few bolts on the pedal box or am i best bleeding the hydrloic line... Then theres the box its a t50 but it is pretty hard to get from gear to gear the guy i bought it off said the little plastic round bit on the end of the shifter is worn so how do i fix this... The last problem atm is it idles at about 2000rpm n the idle screw wont go any further in so is a new throttle sensor or could it be the cut n shut throttle body any advice would b awesome cheers
  15. i also pulled some of the polution crap off the inlet mani when i put the exstractors on the big 32mmish bolt with the hole on my main concern is that may not be lining up right so could it be leaking? ive got another mani at home so i reckon il swap them out n i got a condensor
  16. stupid question but if ive got a compressor just blow through with air? and my original carb was full of gasket goo due to my mate being a bit to liberal with it so i bought another one, any advice on air fuel mixture cheers for the feed back
  17. Just thought id mension that ive done the valve clearences new points leads plugs fuel filter oil filter n the timing
  18. Hey my little pano poped its head gasket a little while ago n now its snowballed out of control... I got another head n decked it cause my one was shaved to oblivion put a new exhaust on n tried to run a much larger nikki carby i got off a mate but i couldnt tune it after a rebuild so i went n got another 4k carby my original was full of gasket goo thanks to a mate but its still not going it idles n revs fine but once u take off it kicks pops n farts all over the place n its ok once u get into a higher rev range n i have no idea what to do
