Sorry To jack the thread but I've got a ke70 panno with Ra60 Struts brakes etc and I'm waiting on some coil overs and slotted rotors.I've Just read up on the kpi but I don't quite understand how that affects the "feel" of the car. and Wondering what it leads to driving it returns to centre fine or at least it feels the same as my stock Ae71. I'm Guessing there's not much I can do about it but will negative rca's help. I'm doing parts order off techno toy tunning so if I can rectify it in any way please tell me Cheers

  4. I'm Planning to drive it everyday but I want to be able to shock people when the time comes... Happy To spend around 10k and I'd want it all engineered which is my main problem with the 2tg being older that the car. I Guess The Solution Would Be To Get A 3tc out Of A T18 And Hybridize Keeping The Newer Block And Cross Member Because Whoever Put It In The Car made A Mess With The cross Member the Engine Sits Way Too Far Forward Don't Get me wrong I love the tg it sounds awesome pulls harder than my old 4age keto I just hate parts availability... How Well does a 230-260 rwkw 4agte hold together andand I forgot to mention my old mans got a w series 5 speed in the shed that he will part with I Just don't want to build a motor just for it to go pop on my way to work And Thanks for all the input I all helps cheers
  5. I'm Pretty happy to do all the work I'm just not sure which way to go the car already has a hilux diff in it lowered and stiffened leafsim also putting a rear sway bar in and chasing coils for The Front I'm Just Trying To Work Out what Parts to Start Buying

I've Got a 2tg in my ke70 it leaks a bit of oil fun little motor but I'm just not sure if it's going to be reliable and cost effective for the power I want if I turbo it, on the plus side it's already in the car but it wasn't the best conversion I bought it done and the cross member looks dodgy as hell and I'll need to find an injection system and ecu which will be hard go find. Second Option Would Be a 4agte I've Just Stripped an Ae71 so I've Got everything except the engine But I'm Just Not Sure If It Will Be Reliable Once It's boosted finally There's the sr20det I've Got Nothing Besides A z32 Afm but The Motor Makes Good power stock So That Would Make It Reliable

I have a 2tg in a Ke70 pano and I'm stripping an ae71 wagons for parts and the shifter hole in the Ke is shite too far forward and it makes some weird sounds when I brake hard like there's bolts flying around so I'm pretty sure I can't use my ae t50 but I would really like to can I pull the boxes apart to switch over the spigots and how hard is it

I've got a little pano with a 2tg the number on the head ends with 222 do it's a second gen engine my question is can I get it engineered or is the motor too old and could I beat this by putting a 3tc in it out of a t18 and then making a hybrid after it's engineered?? It's already got bigger celica brakes and a hilux diff so she stops pretty good

Ok so I don't know how to put photos up with my phone but il try an get to a computer but on the incredibly bright side I managed to get the carbies right just spent ages trying different things and now it goes hard I think it pulls harder then the big port I used to drive I'm getting a laser thermometer today and I'm going to balance the carbs with that seems the most logical way for me to get the finner shit done any ideas what my extractors temp should be And how do I measure my cam lobes it's got the same visible mods as my old 4age but pulls way harder just trying to work out what's been done to the motor

I got it all back together and she started no worries I put a 1-4 psi fuel pump on from what I've read the solex's need 3.5 psi runs great at idle but under load she struggles above 4000 rpm was also idling high but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of replacing the springs of the carbys also it has a fuel reg I just don't know how to set it even still it's a pretty Toey little motor cheers for the advice And photos will be up after work tomorro

I pulled the carbys down yesterday and found one if the jets sitting in the bottom of the bowl so I'm calling that a win n the it's a Holley blue fuel pump pushing 9-14 psi bracket is welded to the underside of the car I'm going to look for something different today it's going to be my daily so I want it quiet And thanks for the reply
  13. I posted this in the Ke section but got no love thought It fitted here a little better cheers Got another pano yesterday it's got some potential but first I gotta deal with the problems. Let's start off with the good 2tg with twin solex carbs monsterous hilux LSD ( I couldn't believe how big it looked in a rolla) t50 Jdm celica struts and brakes. Now the bad part is the fact that I had to drive it home on 3 cylinders( from Canberra to Sydney) number 3 is getting no spark I had a look at the points n there was a growth between them not great. The carbys at least need the jets cleaned and I am a little bit aprihensive about playing with twin carbs but il work that out the drivers side tower has a horizontal spilt across from the different strut and some special person decided to run the noisiest huge holly fuel pump which has gotta go. Now my questions are, can anyone suggest an appropriately sized in tank fuel pump I can use. Will ke70 top hats bolt on to the celica struts and any other suggestions on the spark problem or the carbys does anyone know if I can get an electronic dizzy. I've got an entire ae71 wagon I'm stripping to fix up the pano just need some advice first Also I'm looking at just running a smaller in line fuel pump if I can find one

  16. I feel pretty stupid got it with 3 long extension bars and a swivel joint worst part about the day was when some retard started a fight with me n I didn't have my right hand haha didn't go so well

Seems stupid to me did this on my 4age keto n it was easy as I'm just stuck on the 17mm behind the carby I spent all morning trying to undo n I slipped off it bad enough to need stitches ( in the hospital right now ) I've tried with a normal ringy n I slipped with the ratchet n couldn't get it undone with the spanner maybe a bent spanner or something any ideas will help

  23. It's always had a high idle at 2100rpm with the idle screw all the way in n it has just started searching every now n then can anyone tell me what I need to do its in an ae71
