Trying to replace front brake hoses. Are they a two piece hose or is the metal bit. Just to hold it to the strut bracket. Can't get them undone.

hoorah!!! problem fixed!! found a new housing at a wreckers and put it on and no more light. also the new one didnt even have that little valve looking thing in the hole... so i don't know what the go is there.... but its fixed :) so i'm happy. Thanks for all your help guys :) Very much appreciated

So I took the oil pump off today and cleaned it out with petrol. There wasn't really any gunk in there. I figure the little pressure valve has just ceased up. Tried spraying compressed air through the holes and blocking some. Couldn't get it to open up. Going to try and find a new pump next week. The thing is. I also put new oil in today so will I be able to take the pump off again without draining the oil?

Mmm I'll pull it apart on Saturday and give it a good clean and new oil and see how I go.

Tried taking the sensor off when it had warmed up and the light had gone out... Nothing. Poked it with some wire... Nothing. Sprayed some wd40 in there.. Still nothing. I can't even see where the oil is supposed to come out. There's just that little golf but like in the photo. No hole. Looks like the top of a pop rivet.

I took it for a drive with the new sensor in today and it eventually went out after the car had completely warmed up.

the light is on when the key is at ign and stays on strong once the car is started. the only one that has gone out after a while is the old one. so far the new one just stays on. but ill take it for a drive and see what happens. is it possible that the new one could just be the wrong one??

alright ill give that a try. should i drain the oil first?? also, at the moment the old sensor is showing no light but the new one is lighting up. so I'm not sure if the old one just isnt working anymore, and the new one is. or the new one is the wrong one and the old one is working... if that makes sense the black one is the old one and the red is the new one...

i just tried that. there's just a little gold bit inside the hole and i couldn't get anything to come out. i did scrape some gunk out but i think that may have just been the sealing tape from sensor.

i took for a drive this morning and it went out after a little while so i thought it was all good but when i went to drive it later it was back on and now it sort of goes on and off every now and then. by the way this is with the old sensor back in as i thought the new one may have been the wrong one. So i took it to an auto electrician this afternoon and he said its either a faulty sensor or i actually have low oil pressure so i took it to a garage and hooked it up to a gauge.. which didn't even give a reading but we werent sure it the gauge actually worked. we tried turning the engine on with no sensor on there thinking some oil should spil out the hole but nothing. took the filter off to see what it was like and it seemed fine. turned the engine over with the filter not on all the way and oil spilled out so its definitely pumping oil. The engine sounds fine and no sign of loud knocking like an engine with low oil pressure so i have no idea what is happening. I'm going to give the engine a good service when i can. flush all the old shitty black oil out and new filter. along with a few other things and see what its like then. might also buy an oil pressure gauge just so i can be sure I'm all good to drive the thing. is oil supposed to spil out the hole if there is no sensor in it when you start the car?? any help is much appreciated.

The light goes out when I take the wire off the sensor. Scratch that. It comes back on when it's direct to the ground.

I degreased my engine this morning ad tried to wrap most of the electronics as best I could.. It seems not well enough. When I finished I noticed the oil pressure sensor was disconected so I connected it back up but now the oil light comes on. I thought I may have got water in the sensor so I bought a new one but it's still on.. I'm actually a little worried about driving around in it. Considering its my daily. Anyone have any ideas?? Much appreciated.

no the high beam didnt work with the other head unit either.

Ahhh yeah it is earthed to a wire. I'll check that out. What do I do with the wire then? It's the second after market head unit that's been in the car and I didn't do the first one so I just copied the first one.

hey guys. so my headlights work fine and when i pull the lever to flash high beams they work but if i push it to leave them on, its just turns my lights off completely. I have taken the steering wheel off and had a brief look but i don't really know what goes on there so i couldn't figure it out. has anyone had the same problem or know why it could be happening??

Ahhh you are right. Thanks guys. All fixed. Does the fan only blow out the center vents or is it meant to come through the side ones too. Because it only comes through the middle

hey guys. Ive just bought myself an 82 KE70 and the fan/heater only blows through the defrost vents. ive been searching for a solution online for ages now and i found out that it could be the vacuum line has come loose or has a hole. but i can't find the damn thing and i can't find anything specific to the KE70 about where it is or anyone who has had the same problem. can anyone help??
