  1. haha woh nice! I work for a thermal processing equipment company, I'm in the same boat with parts man =/ its a joke! I'm not sure, most likely sitting, i bought it off the guy with them.
  2. Name - Nic Car - AE92 Gti Hatch Occupation - Engineering Draftsman Currently have the black bumper on there - came like that when I bought it, have a white one I'm stripping and respraying - hopefully putting it on soon!
  3. Hey guys! I've been having a bit of idle issues for a while now, before i had my major service my car would idle at around 1.5-2k RPM, ever since its been running smoother and alot lower at around 400-550RPM, which is too low - almost to the point where it cuts out, not to mention the slight feathering i have to do to get going which can't be great for my clutch. Anyways maybe my TPS is off its mark and was wondering 1) How do i check? 2) What value should it read? 3) How do i adjust it if its off? Thanks a million!
  4. Hey man, i think i've seen your GTi haha, are you ever in Dalyellup on the weekends?
  5. I told him about it, he said he didn't hear anything in his test drive, which i don't understand if it was a thorough overlook - as its pretty easy to happen.
  6. Okay! interesting, i'll have a look on my lunch break! thanks :)
  7. Its hard to pin it down to a certain time, but its usually in all gears, when ever i try to pick up speed, so like in 1st 5-20 or something, in 4th 90-100, it seems more like driveshaft speed, but I'm not sure. i'll do a few more drives where i properly note down, and i'll come back tomorrow!
  8. Hey guys, so I checked my car in (AE92 GTi) for a mech. inspection today, i've had it for about two years now, always ran a little rough, but i kept it nice and serviced well over the years. So the mechanic comes back with this; can I please get some feed back on this? whats important, my guess is the leaks, he didnt figure out why my front end knocks, its a weird thing to describe, it happens when i put down power - not necessarily flat footing - but moderate acceleration, its a very rapid knock, almost like a driveshaft knock of some sorts, its not CV's because i do the full lock turn and no ticks, so if anyone has had a similar issue it would be much appreciated! here are some pics of the report and my car :)
  9. Hey guys, I have an AE92 gti corolla I'm working on, I was wondering if anyone had, or knew of any places that had the matching white with red pinstripe bumpers. Its obviously been in a fender bender before with the previous owner, and has the barina black bumper with purple pinstripe - looks tacky. I'm in the South West in Bunbury, not sure if any ones from around here :) will put pics up soon!

  11. He probably, just took advantage of the fact that he had my rims at the time, and i was still unsure of my tyre choice, he ordered them in without my consent as well, based on a bit of phone banter on what tyre to go with. Not to mention he ordered the RE002's and they didnt fit haha, his own mistake i shouldnt have to pay for imo. but ohwell, this was Ian Diffen bunbury btw, for anyone who may be familiar.
  12. How much did you pay for yours? i got the SuperSteeles, he said the RSR's probably wouldnt go on the rim, same issue as the RE002's. In the end though the 595's are really good, i do believe i got ripped off a bit, he charged me the same price as the RE002's for the superSteeles... but i just wanted to get it over and done with. 180/tyre is what i paid for 195/50/15 Federal 595's
  13. Thanks for your opinion, yes he seems like a straight forward guy, hes helped me quite a bit so far, i just wanted a second opinion from people who have been in the same boat as me. He's suggested Falken ZE912's, i read up on them and concluded that they are a family car tyre, which is probably enough for my needs, but I plan to do more to the engine in my corolla and want the tyres on there to be able to handle it. He then suggested Federals, can't remember the model, but my friend had them on his supra and said they were pretty good.
  14. My basic question is, tyre choice, brands etc. I want the best value from the tyre as well as performance.
  15. Well there are 205/50/15's available in the RE002's, would that make a difference, he thinks it wont.
