  1. thanks everyone for all your help...job done and now i can finally drive the car..except i just need to get a gearbox cross memeber made up prolly try weld up some thicker metal plates near the floor or on the chassis rail to give it strength then bolt up a bar to hold the box up coz the manual one falls short worst case scenario drop it off at the workshop and get them to do it. but anyway all you guys have been great help what would you do with out this site helped so much!!! thanks again

Hi I'm in the middle of doing a manual conversion on my ke55 atm i have the box in the car and tail shaft in pedal box in also noticed i have to wire up the auto wires coz the car wont start but i will get to that later ok now when i put the clutch cable in the clutch feels soft and floppy is there any way i can adjust the clutch coz it wont go into gear it will go into gear when the car is off but when you start it i can't put it into gear its either the clutch cable of i havent put the box in right hopefully i don't have to rip it off again but i noticed there was a 10mm gap when i put the box i couldnt push it any further so i tightend the bolts up and it all went into place maybe this where i stuffed up but yeah i just think its the cable but then again i don't know if ive put the cable in right. i'll take some pictures to explain soon.

  4. hey sorry i miss understood the whole thing my bad its the first time I'm doing a auto manual conversion what i meant was the spigot bearing but its all good now ive changed it and now the 4 speed is in now the cross member doesnt fit and i think i have to cut out some of the tunnel.
  5. thanks sammo... got it off!!! hey you know that part that holds the fly wheel on i noticed it was different to the maual engine its the part where the manual gear box shaft goes in on the auto engine it has a cap on it or plug thingy where as the manual engine it has the female spline thing what to do????

Hi, I'm doing a manual conversion on my auto ke55 i have changed the pedal box and etc just up to the part where i put the manual gear box in the auto anyway i noticed that where the fly wheel goes on the auto engine it doesnt have a female spline thing for the manual shaft to go in it had a plug in it i noticed 6 bolts around the top. question? do i have to change this and pull the other one of the other engine??? or is it part of the crank. your help would be great thanks Richard.
  7. Hi I'm doing a manual conversion on my ke55. I am up to the stage where i have to remove the Torque Converter. I can see there is 3 bolts Holding it on to the fly wheel. Do you have to remove the the plate to get to them? Also are these bolts that hold the Torque converter on opposite thread as in do they screw out clockwise? Your Help on this matter would be great thanks guys. Regards Richard

  9. hahahah yeah i bet you do alot of that in ur lil beast!!! hey quik question? ca18 engine have you had any problems with it and how do u compare it to the fj20. I'm hoping to build one in the near future but getting hassled about my engine choice (ca18) people saying it was nissans worst engine and all that crap?

  12. hey dude what did you do with the wiring? did u do it urself? or did u send it to the auto elecs? and did u just use the same wiring harness as the silvia? and also what about the computer standard or aftermarket? can u use the standard one? and with the speedo what mods did u do to run the rolla one? cheers mate.
